This short web-series was designed to link the Old Man Dusters YouTube channel to its predecessor, a channel of the same name which was deleted in 2015, this old channel aired a feature length film, titled Game Over.
The Dusty Chronicles serves as an explanation to what happened in Game Over, and what happened next.
The Multiverse, in which this series is set, was inspired by the show Rick & Morty, in which there are an infinite number of dimensions, each with different possibilities, many of them being identical with subtle changes.
The labelling of dimensions is almost identical to Rick & Morty's, wherein the dimensions are named by letters and numbers, for example, Callum's story begins in Dimension CH-09, and then continues in Dimension CG-01.
