Expertly weaves a tale of mystery and intrigue, combining suspense and horror to take viewers on a thrilling ride through the beautiful yet eerie English countryside. Emily's weekend camping trip quickly spirals into a nightmare as she discovers her new friends harbor a terrifying secret. The director's skillful use of pacing and atmosphere keeps the audience on tenterhooks, while the exceptional performances by the cast breathe life into the complex characters. The breathtaking cinematography, coupled with the haunting score, creates an atmosphere of tension that will have audiences gripped from start to finish, making this a must-watch for all.

...should refund my rental. This is hard to even call a movie. There is a director credited. There was apparently something of a screenplay. The finished product offers little proof that either were real. This is a feeble sketch of a ten minute short stretched out to feature length, and stretched amateurishly. I am certain there have been student films by bottom scraping D students that are better. Two stars ONLY for cinematography competent acting. I'd rather watch my grass grow than even endure this "film" again.

I feel like I've been burned renting this one. This is a terrible film. Low budget, slow, poor acting, boring. I love a slow burn when it leads to something but this isn't worth your time. What a load of tripe.

I made it through an hour of this movie but couldn't take it anymore. It was sooooo long and nothing happened. And I mean NOTHING.
To make matters worse, the boyfriend Jay was the worst. The guy lacked any personality, and was quite mean to his girlfriend Sarah. His cousin Julia was another weirdo. No personality and very rude. Any normal woman would have run as far and as fast as she could from these creeps. Why Sarah was with a guy like Jay was a mystery.
Anyway, maybe the end of the movie was worth the wait, but I doubt it. I just couldn't take it anymore.
If you have 90 minutes to waste, go for it. I'd rather watch paint dry.

The stupidity of this movie is only surpassed by the excruciatingly long wait for the inevitably predictable ending. Daddy gave his little girl lots of material comforts; too bad he didn't give her a brain. I wouldn't have gotten into a car with these creepy cousins if Mary Poppins was sitting in the back seat. And I'm pretty sure this chick would have gotten in if Jason had been in the back seat holding a chainsaw. I think it's the first time I looked forward to the commercial breaks, just to bring some life to the screen. Do actors willing to make this crap ever recover from the humiliation?

All the reviews that are over 4 come from family, relatives, friends of the director and actors
So dull, slow and uneventful
No suspense, no horror!!!
It did not make sense at all, the director did not have any idea how to make a plot, he did not even know how to end the movie
I yawned all the movie, fell asleep almoat all the time All incongruences !! Nonsense Absolute BS.
Watch something else !!!!
Horrible, boring, incomprehensible Lousy acting!!
Dont bother to check this one, save 80 minutes of your life and do not fall for this!!!!!!!!

"Beneath the Trees" is a thrilling journey into the unknown, blending elements of horror and suspense to create an unforgettable experience that masterfully explores trust, deception, and the dark side of human nature. The story of a young American student's weekend camping trip takes an unexpected turn as she uncovers a chilling secret about her new friends. The director brilliantly crafts an unsettling atmosphere of unease, keeping the audience on the edge. The stunning cinematography, evocative score, and powerful performances by the lead actors, set against the lush English countryside, only serve to heighten the tension, making this a must-see film for all the horror lovers out there. This gripping tale of a seemingly innocent journey to hell will stay with you long after the credits roll.

There is something deeply intimate about this horror. Was it all a nightmare? And what about the letter? Definitely a departure from the usual "lost in the woods " horror film. Thumbs up from me.

The exceptional performances by the lead actors felt genuine and compelling, with each actor adding depth and nuance to their roles. I couldn't help but empathize with Emily as she navigated her increasingly perilous situation, uncovering dark secrets about her new friends that made my heart race.
The stunning cinematography and haunting score only served to enhance the film's atmosphere, making for an immersive and unforgettable viewing experience that I won't soon forget. I found myself on the edge of my seat, completely absorbed by the intricate web of deceit and betrayal as it unraveled before my eyes.

What a strange and intriguing film. Beautifully shot. It reminds me of a 70s classic folk horror. Highly recommended.
After a second viewing I feel like changing my review by leaving a positive vote .There is something weird and surreal that permeates the film. I found it very powerful and beautifully done.

One of the best new horror releases on Amazon. 👍
So wacky and weird... it's like an episode of the Twilight Zone.. I recommend it to everyone who wants to see a good horror movie. A nightmare forest.

I thought it was amazing. At first it seems so simple but then you realise there are so many (scary) layers to the story and the characters. Definitely a 10 for me.

An unconventional movie with a unique pace! . A serene, slow, and quietly unfolding narrative that defies the standard rules of suspense and horror, making it stand out. The director brings forth an avant-garde plot, choosing an open-ended conclusion that sparks thought and conversation. It invites you into a relaxed viewing, providing moments to ponder upon the subtle incongruences, which might be seen as a daring narrative technique. It proposes something different from the usual - an artistic, contemplative, and abstract cinematic experience. Worth exploring if you're in the mood for something off the beaten path!
