Telugu cinema and its audiences are going no-where, they all want to have the same old food each & every day with tweaks here & there, they simply seem to be averse to drastic changes.
This film also comes with the same old story with no big changes in the screenplay too but the making seemed a little bit fresh since they removed many details like adding effects & build-ups to each & every scene after & before the hero comes.
People have started to watch Allu Arjun movies just to watch him dance and nothing else.

Special Note to Murali Sharma's Performance. He did excellent especially during the pre-interval scenes. Everyone will remember him for this character after this movie. Now the real Hero of the film is Thaman. What a chartbuster!! 3 songs over 100 million views which is insane. The other 3 songs have at least 40 million views. As if this is not enough Butta Bomma went over 500 million views by itself. Hats Off!!
In depth Analysis:
First half: Right at the start they establish the grand scheme of things. The babies are switched and Valmiki hates Allu Arjun so he tries to put Allu Arjun in the dirt every chance he gets. With that we totally get invested into the story and are very curious as to what will happen. Right after this the movie goes a little downhill because of a lack of consistency in the entertainment. For example the sequence of scenes from where Allu Arjun falls in love to the song Butta Bomma the screenplay is not that centered to the main story but there were some amazing scenes in it such as when Allu Arjun gives warning to Brahmaji. Adding on to this, the movie was also a little slow paced so it may not be to catchy and appealing.
Interval Bang: Absolutely the best part of the movie. The inconsistency and whatever flaws that were in the first half were totally wiped out and you can see Trivikram's true talent here. The way the emotion is carried out is excellent. The way the old patient that used to be a nurse tells the truth to Allu Arjun is excellent. The way Allu Arjun reacts to that is excellent. Last but not least the way allu arjun and murali sharma interact at the interval is excellent. The way the story is carried with all of these is entirely Trivikram's talent.
2nd half: It starts out with Allu Arjun going to vaikuntapuram aka jayaram's house. The screenplay was much much better in the second half. The flow of things. Comedy was more situational and better even though there is much less comedy. The other thing to note is there are many things that Trivikram decided to differently here to make things more interesting. The first thing is that he made the ball room a dancing sequence with a lot of famous songs. The second thing is the fight with the song sitharala sirapadu.
Overall this movie has all the perfect elements for a commercial movie but has below average screenplay in the first half. The interval bang and the performances during it for Murali Sharma and Allu Arjun is very good. The second half is a good conclusion to the story and has some notable scenes like the ball room dance.

Never expected story copy from Trivikram. New borns exchanged, rich goes to his family to solve their issues. Nothing more.

This film begins in a hospital where two women are simultaneously giving birth. As it so happens, one of the women is married to an extremely successful businessman named "Ramachandra" (Jayaram) while the other woman is married to one of Ramachandra's employees by the name of "Valmiki" (Murli Sharma). Although both babies are male, the nurse notices that the one belonging to Ramachandra is not breathing and begins to panic under the assumption that she will be held responsible for the child's death. It's at this precise time that Valmiki intervenes and tells her to substitute his son for that of Ramachandra's with the expectation that he will have a much better life. The nurse hesitates at first and when she eventually acquiesces it is discovered that Ramachandra's baby is not dead after all. Regardless, Valmiki is determined to maintain the deception and after a scuffle the nurse is seriously injured to the point that she cannot prevent Valmiki from going through with his fraudulent scheme. Eventually, both children grow up with the Ramachandra's actual child, "Bantu" (Allu Arjun) possessing superior talents while Valmiki's child "Raj Manohar" (Sushanth) is rather slow and dim-witted. Even so, Raj Manohar is given all of the benefits a wealthy father can bestow upon him while Bantu is continuously scorned by Valmiki. However, things become quite interesting once the paths of Ramachandra and Bantu finally cross. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this film started off as an extremely enjoyable comedy but slowed down around the middle part of the movie when the plot turned a bit more serious. As far as the actors are concerned, I liked the performances of both Allu Arjun and Jayaram but not so much that of Murli Sharma who seemed a bit over-the-top. In any case, I enjoyed this film for the most part and I have rated it accordingly. Above average.
"Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo" starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde is a pleasant family entertainer that's packed with 100% emotions and ample entertainment. The story, dialogues, fights, choreography, romance and music, this film have it all and will be loved by the audience. Allu Arjun makes a stylish comeback and is a treat to watch on screen. Beautifully shot songs and actions. Allu Arjun is very mature with his acting in this film and he has delivered a brilliant performance, which is the highlight of this movie. Other casts have also done good jobs. Overall, it's a complete family entertainer and a feeling good movie.
My rating is: 8/10

Very well director, rightly balanced the fights, comedy, action, songs, and screenplay! Loved acting of Allu Arjun, good performance
The central plot is good but the movie is waaaayyy too slow. Felt like a 6 hour movie. Alot of scenes and moments stuffed in their just for comedy but doesn't propel the story forward. You get comedy in those moments but all the while your getting restless cuz the movie doesn't movie fast enough with it's plot. Sometimes trivikrams diologue and comedy seem to try too hard at being clever. If the editing of the movie was more crisp and a bit for fast paced, it would have sat better with me.
Hello Everyone Just came back watching this movie. In Simple Words this is Very Entertaining. Happily go with all family on the festive eve. Very light and happy going movie. Songs are good and entertaining. Allu Arjun Rocks as usual throughout movie. Over all with nice plot, simple storyline. Trivikam way of narration till end of movie, good dialogues, distributing little emotions. Overall very good entertaining movie.
Except fight sequences in slow motion remaining movie is entertaining if logics are left aside so that you can enjoy the movie

Another jaw dropper from Allu. Don't know what all to express here. Beginning got me down a bit as we all been through this story of evil mind (not disclosing). But the way plot flipped made me wonder of Allu's strong delivery skills. This movie turned out to be a complete engagement game right till the end, although few places did not make much sense in the real world, but from fun standpoint, it does make sense 😉 Murli was way too fantastic in supporting. Allu single handedly got this rolled on entirely if you see. Great songs.
What a wonderful movie after so many years, watched more than 3 times.
Allu arjun performance is big asset for the movie.

Trivikram Srinivas has once again took a story with family values and narrated it in his own style. Trivikram's hold on the script is evident from the first frame as he moves from one sequence to another swiftly. From start to end, Ala Vaikunthapuramlo has non stop entertainment which will please everyone completely.
Allu Arjun fits into the shoes of Bunty quite comfortably, and the character seems tailor made for him. His dances, comic timing, and performance will be a treat for everyone. Pooja Hegde looks stunning, and more importantly, she plays her part effortlessly and strikes up palpable chemistry with Allu Arjun.
The biggest letdown in the film is the villain track. The so called hero-villain moments are just about okay and do not create much. The emotional content in certain areas could have been even stronger. Rohini's side of the story is not explored a bit.
Ala Vaikunthapuramlo is a full-on solid family entertainer that ticks all the boxes right. Trivikram has a firm grip on the narrative for the most part.

The film is full of Allu Arjun Swag. The story is very simple but not predictable but Trivikram writing, direction,Allu Arjun Swag and Thaman music makes the film more interesting. The comedy of the film is very good.
1st half: Gripping,engaging screenplay
2nd half: good.
Climax: Emotional
Positive: The story line and Content,Allu Arjun Performance and Pooja Hegde looks pretty.
Negative: No Negative facts about movie.
