The action is quite something by the female boxing champ. Convincing.
The faults are glaring - a lack of continuity in the story telling. Also the jumping around in time breaks up the tension - should have been chronological. Why the sister got into so much trouble is a bit too much. Harder to stomach than the over the top fight sequences.
Not quite worth watching.

Lead Lee Si-young is incredible in this movie. She really gets to show off her boxing skills, and it's absolutely action packed, but there are so, so many holes within the screenwriting and overall story arc. It's almost like you're thrown into one scene, a one day action film that gives you zero background about the young girl Eun-hye and her sister. I appreciated the film for its use of great action shots and intensity in the fighting scenes, but it doesn't do much more within an hour and a half. The crazy thing is, the writer-directors chose such an important topic that it absolutely could have had more of an arc but ended up letting the viewer down by not living up to it.
After watching Sweet Home on Netflix I was really intrigued with this actress so looked into other stuff she was in that might interest me and this film fit the bill!
You have to remember youre watching an action revenge flick.. nothing more nothing less..
for what it is i really enjoyed it... it does get a little silly with what happens to her sister but without giving away spoilers thats all i'll say.
If you like revenge films you wont be dissapointed.. just make sure you leave your brain at the door and your suspension of disbeleif is at level 1000.... (more for the sister rather than the actual heroine.. who is very beleivably badass)

This movie describes an important case that might happen in many countries to innocent young girls, especially if they have some mental or abnormal behavior,
The law should be fair with victims and take a quick response to solve such cases of kidnapping, sexual slavery etc.

This has 'I see the devil' vibe to it. though there are some plot holes, i truly enjoy it. revenge is sweet.
No static timeline and characters are way too gangsterish, especially the kids. The story jumps all over the timeline and it is hard to tell if it is in the past, present or future and pisses you off. Then they have the girl trying to fight all these thugs by herself without any help or calling police about child trafficking. Just another angry movie about revenge which the world can do without right now.

I quite liked this movie, although it's kinda like a Korean version of John Wick and Killer Bean Forever but with a female protagonist instead. The action scenes are fun to watch and the acting is decent. The cinematography isn't too bad either, but there are a few times when there are some jumpcuts throughout it. If you're a fan of revenge stories, you might enjoy this movie. It does have a few flaws, but is it that bad? No. Is it perfect? Not really. If you want to watch this movie for free, I recommend you watch it on the AsianCrush app if you're interested. This is a big dumb fun action movie, and I'm scoring it a 7/10.

If in Taken, they took his daughter, and in John Wick, they killed his dog, it was definitely a bad idea to mess with her sister.
I agree that it has some holes in the story line, but that doesn't make it a bad movie. The actors and actresses delivered a wonderful performance and the plot is MIND. BLOWING. Like, I wasn't sure if the movie was good or bad for me because it was messing with my brain and my emotions.
Either way, they're definitely impacting the audience, so good job!

I first saw her in BOF. And after what she did there I didn't like her at all. And then many many many years later, I came across her on insta one random day and I was like ..wow ..she's gorgeous, I know her from somewhere, don't I?
Obviously I had some help recalling the where. And since then she became one of those celebs... Yeah I know, I know, this is a review section.. so coming back to No Mercy. This is a decent revenge action flick. The plot says it all. The story's as predictable as it gets. There's nothing new to explore. And maybe that's why the low rating. So I thought this would end up in my what-was-i-thinking-watching-this list of movies but it didn't. I liked it(what do you mean I'm just saying this coz I like her). It sticks to it theme and yeah there are a few loose ends but those can be excused for this particular genre. So if you just want to watch a pretty girl do some decent action and not think too much about the how's, the what's and the why's of movie logic then this one's for you.
P. S. Will I watch it again? Probably not(at least for a while).
Okay.. time to go review her other works. Hehehe.

There's always room in the action genre for more "one-man army" thrillers, but this has typically been a male-dominated space. It's therefore always great to see women getting in on the action. Lee Si-young (In Ae) is also no stranger to heavy-hitting, having a rather successful background in amateur boxing. This probably makes her fight choreography all that more believable.
No Mercy falters only in two instances, the first being the convoluted story-telling and secondly, by subjecting the younger sister to one too many ordeals in such a short space of time, hence losing its emotional weight somewhat. But those gripes aside, the action scenes are well coordinated and the revenge aspect is quite satisfying. It's the type of movie that caters to our natural instinct of (justifiably) punching numerous henchmen in the face.
No Mercy is one of the better action thrillers I have seen of late, with a strong female-led cast.

Although depending on your morals, the Good might not act exactly accordingly to what you would call good morally speaking. So the movie that is called No Mercy (in Germany, maybe internationally too) really does what it says on the poster/cover.
And to be frank, while I tend to be more on the pacifist side of things, it is tough not to get behind the revenge tour of our main character. She may be flawed (and has some issues of her own, relationship and other wise), but when you see what the mostly guys she is after have done ... again there is some kind of understanding.
Still even so, this is quite violent and harrowing. Not everyone's cup of tea for sure. Fans of movies like this will lap it up and "love" it (not being judgemental, most people are aware they are watching a movie) ...

This movie was intense from the beginning.
This movie involves a disturbing plot story, but it's also very well thought. Its gruesome, contains action and just makes you infuriated with how realistic everything is. If I had to say it's similar to The Man From No Where. The main lead did an awesome job of portraying her character and OMG the younger sister was just fantastic at her role. This was really a big stepping stone for her. This film just had so many good qualities. Honestly.

Blood, action, revenge, kidnapping and some red heels in the style of I See the Devil, just something similar I do not want to compare it. This movie is great. I really enjoyed it, I even shouted at TV how exciting this is! I've already seen it three times. 100% RECOMMENDED. Koreans know how to captivate us with this type of genre at its best.
