The main character is great. At first glance, he's just a big biker dude with a "don't mess with me" demeanor but as the story unfolds one comes to admire his simple trust and simple desire to do good, despite whatever he "was". I don't think I'm the target audience (I can barely tell the difference between a Harley and a Honda and the only bike I ride has pedals) but this series pulled me in. The lead manages to bring a down-to-earth authenticity rare in drama or real life.
The supporting actors in each episode (who vary each episode as the lead travels into new places) are less consistent in my view.
The "flashbacks" are compelling and each episode gives a slightly fuller glimpse of his past. But the matter-of-fact way he simply tries to earnestly share the greatest news ever is the best feature of this series. I stumbled across this and found myself engaged and interested to see how his story develops and even a bit challenged to adopt such an earnest and refreshingly direct approach in my interactions with "strangers".
Put this on your watch list.
