Because Rose Byrne recorded all her lines after filming, in order to have lines to react to, an earwig was placed inside Adam Devine's ear with and Actress/Voice-Over Artist Laurie Burke delivered Jexi's lines to him. However, sometimes the earpiece would malfunction. Co-Director Jon Lucas exclaimed that "there were times when Adam would just take the earbud out and do the whole scene without ever hearing anyone talking."

Goofs
Jexi is on the cloud and can control any connected device. Updating the OS on one device (as is done at 1:12:17) doesn't disable its ability to control any other device not being updated.

Terrible reviews but had me LOL

This film is being massacred by critics. It's honestly not that bad of a movie. I wouldn't pay $20 to see it in theaters, but it's definitely worth watching at home. Whoever wrote Rose Bryne's lines was hilarious. JEXI had me cracking up and Michael Pena was awesome as usual. Adam Levine held it down but the cell phone stole the show. Check it out.
