When I read the synopsis, it seemed likable enough. Basically, a young lady returns to her small home after a family member's death. She learns she inherits everything, which is substantial, but of course there's a stipulation. The location shots, sets, etc are all pleasant, and they do an exceptional job at conveying the small town feel, even though it was shot in Los Angeles. But that's where the good stuff ends.
As an entertainer myself, let me say if I don't like someone's performance, I'll keep it to myself. But on this case, it's pretty much the entire cast. Smiling thru serious lines, big pauses in dialogue as if they forgot what the line was, when lines are read, they're pretty monotone. I was certain this was a low budget student film, the kind where they cast all of their friends and family to save money, regardless of their talent (or lack there of). I tried to look past it and gave it a chance anyway, waiting til the end. Silver lining: At least I saw it for free (on Freevee ).

A woman inherits some money from Grandma and on return to home town she fights against the building of a mall on a historical home.
When a movie makes a Hallmark movie look polished you know you are in a bad movie. The acting is stiff and the delivery of the dialogue so monotonous. There is a inappropriate musical soundtrack as well.
Don't bother.

This movie was horrible in every way one can be. Predictable story line, which by itself wouldn't be so bad if the acting could redeem it but it doesn't. It is bad bad bad... No subplots either beyind the obvious annoying and disinterested boyfriend and potential live interest in the childhood friend turned lawyer. Just this darned fight over an historic landmark house that ties to family... really???? Dont waste your time.
Plot okay. ACTING is absolutely terrible! Could barely get through half of it when I had to turn it off. Bored to tears and frankly? Cannot even remember when I've seen a movie made for TV that was this awful!. Lousy movie track music as well; shockingly so. Wow. I just can't get over how bad this was...It's truly been sometime since I've seen such a poorly put together movie.

I have NEVER reviewed a movie before but I feel I just HAVE to. Just as others have said, the story was too predictable but it could have worked if there had been ANYONE in the cast that could actually give a believable performance. It was worse than a high school drama production, it was like a bunch of people sitting around a table and doing a read through without any emotion whatsoever. I feel so bad that this movie was a time and place where all the worst things that can happen to a story came to meet. I think if it had been done with better actors, it might have worked. As far as I can tell, this is NOT a Hallmark movie - Actually, I just restarted to confirm that - it was produced by Heve Productions. If you (Heve Productions) consider this movie a worthy product - JUST STOP! - please don't inflict anymore bad movies on the world. Clearly your judgement is questionable.

Predictable Hallmark movies are my guilty pleasure so I watch my fair share of romantic fluff. This movie was so painful to watch - I ended up turning it off. The acting was like watching the first session of a high school drama class in my living room.

After I have read the three negative reviews of this tv movie, I wonder how bad it really is?? Therefore I decided to watch. To my surprise, it is not so bad at all. In those negative reviews, they have all pointed out predictable, bad acting etc. and what coincidence that they all left few lines and given 1 star/point? Strange is that similar preditable and even worse acting Hallmark movies then well get above 6stars/poimts. In my opinion, although the story is familiar and preditable, and the acting is not in high level; it has presented in a way much better than a lot of similar Hallmark movies which I have seen. It is not a award winner , but just a comfortable feeling good movie to enjoy in the evening. Therefore I have specially given it 8 stars (6 stars for the film production and 2 stars for against those ridiculous low score reviews).
Somehow I got through about a third of this movie before I was ready to tear my hair out. I am not sitting here watching two people saunter through their family photo album. And that was the best part. Slow, lackluster, very poor acting, poor storyline, annoying background music...life is just too short to spend on bad movies.
