"Ente Ummante Peeru" Malayalam movie. Simple feel good movie.... plot set in Thalassery, this simpleton Hameed - the hero, is jolted with his father's death, to realize, he's alone in this abode ... no relatives... an orphan. When his marriage proposal runs into problems b'coz he's a orphan, Hameed is forced to go in search of his mother. His late father was a strict disciplinarian, hence no clues from that end. The story unwinds in a linear pattern with comical touch as the hero and his friend go in search of long lost mother. The story unfolds the emotional relationship between a mother and son, their journey ... their interactions. Very simple movie with no extra dose of comedy nor sentiments, to keep the audience smiling throughout. The director has no extra effort for this presentation. 8 on 10, for this Tovino-Urvashi combination rib tickler. Songs are good, photography kept the presentation filled in the movie canvas ...but the script takes the cake. Twist in the climax was excellent and is very logical, in every angle. Enjoy the journey from Malabar to Lucknow with this innocent Muslim youth.

The film stars Tovino Thomas and Urvashi lead roles. The story is set in the backdrop of northern Kerala (former Malabar District) and Lucknow. The life and journey of Hameed to find his biological mother and how his life transform during the journey, with lovely chemistry between Tovino and Urvasi and the humors were so nice that will be wanting to watch it again. Tovino was good in the role as Hameed with quirky body language. And Hareesh as beeran was funny and the combination scenes between Tovino & Hareesh were charming . Then come the URVASI , she bring LIFE to the movie with her screen presence and easy simple but natural talents of her takes the movie from an average flick to a FEEL-GOOD movie. She stuns and nailed as "Aisha" and i loved it even though there are cliche scenes ,never felt bore.

A simple and straight forward tale about a man's search for his mother after his father's death.

Charming and soft-hearted movie with a lot of kindness, love and humor. Climax aligns well with the general feel of the movie.

Tovino has played the son well and has been successful at being the soft spoken likable main protagonist. Urvashi has played her part of the mother well as well. Dileesh, Hareesh, Mamukkoya have all played their respective character roles nicely as well.

Some original humor situations standout. Hareesh Kanaran has a very good handle on comedy and sprinkles many good one-liners.

A good one time watch

This is an above average movie with good performance from everyone and a good climax. Story of the movie is not so gripping or strong it is a simple one and can be called a but cliched but the presentation of the movie and the way it instills certain positivity in the minds of the viewers is commendable.

A movie which touched my heart in a very long time, at end i had my eyes filled with tears. movie have some great comedy as well. its a must watch . wonderful work by actors especially urvashi and tovino , director , writer and everyone in the movie. all the best guys.

This movie is a 100 % feel good movie. The main theme of the movie as you may have seen in the trailer is the journey of a young man to find his mother. The story goes directly into theme without any lag. The journey of the movie is predictable. Though it gives a feel to watch. The story leaves many explanation which we feel curious to know about. The movie ends giving all the strength to the title "feel good".

The relation between the tovino and female actress was not much convincing. I felt the bitterness in the direction/making of the beginning of the movie which i felt so because of the inexperience of the debut director.

The chemistry between tovino and hareesh kanaran was good. Urvasi also played her role well.

All actors in this movie has done a good job. Especially tovino thomas and urvasi. Renji panicker also play a part in the movie without coming on to the screen. All other actors have done their job well.

This movie won't waste your time. And i suggest this to movie to all Malayalam movie tasters. The director has made his debut movie a good Malayalam movie.

Complete entertainer. Excellent direction, script, cinematography, music, performance...

Director Jose Sebastian carves a genuinely dramatic travel story of an assumed orphan, a naive young man (Tovino Thomas), trying to find his mother whom he has never met in Ente Ummante Peru (My Mother's Name) that constantly evokes a sense of longing and familial relationships and makes you feel good about life and its endless possibilities. TN.

I had huge expectations for Ente Ummante Peru. The trailer was really good and the movie got positive response (certain people). The movie shattered all my expectations. The storyline was very good but the direction, editing and screenplay is bad. Performance wise, Tovino was okay and Urvashi is the best performer. I don't recommend this movie to everyone. It's strictly one time watchable.

Never thought this is such an awesome movie. A nice feel good movie from Tovino. Urvasi nailed the role to perfection. Highly recommended movie for anyone who wish to watch a good movie.

Although i didn't have much expectations from this, it really good. It's funny in some parts and emotional in others.

This movie is about a Young man searching his roots- Mother After the death of his father. Good part of the movie are very straight forward story telling , no gimmicks and superb acting of Tovino . But the bad part is casting . The soul of the movie lies is three woman charectors. But they have nothing much to contribute in the story. I also I feel urvashi is clear miscasting. The life if his father yesteryear would have been slowly unvailed during his meeting of each woman he has in life , should have made the movie interesting, But the director did not spent much time on that. In short a good storyline, with little more work on Screenplay would have resulted into a movie which is rememberd for years. Nevertheless it is a good movie to watch with family. Expecting Wonder ful movies from the director in the future.

Started watching this film hoping to pause it midway, but ended up finishing entire movie. Its 2am in Sri Lanka still couldnt take away the movie from mind. Fabulous and lovely performance from Tovin and Urvashi and cant express my love for both of them @ this moment. Guys dont miss this experience, u will not regret of this 2 hours. Yes, i love my mom!!

It's a movie about a mother sons relationship. Urvashi and tovino share a great chemistry as mother son duo. Tovino is in pursuit of some answers and at the end he finds it out. It's a pure family entertainment .

Nice concept but the director wrongly put the tovino as a main hero ... His theevandi was a good movie on this he just a waste in acting

A very beautiful movie told in an endearing way!! It handles human emotions in a subtle manner,never over the top..

Script and direction is very boring. I thought this film was good feel good movie. But 2g style making and very boring script. Director don't know how to use actors. They are done this film just because of having a script and producer.

This is one of those movies that will stick with you for a very long time, the type you can watch over and over again and still find it it entertaining. The director did a fantastic job in bringing the best out of Tovino and Urvashi, surprisingly this was his directorial debut as well... a lovely story, must watch!

Don't want to waste my words to this clichéd story.Avoid and do something else on this 2 hours.

Debutante Jose Sebastian triumphs with a simple but honest movie aided by excellent performances from veterans as well as the Young guns.The plot is essentially Islamic at heart, polygamy which is often attributed to this particular religion has been dealt with subtlety and it never offends.The movie is new in the sense, we get to see Lucknow and it's splendour which I have never seen before in Malayalam cinema.The camera gives you glimpses of the vintage architecture and it's affinity to art,a bit of Lucknowi cuisine too has been thrown in.Hameed played by Tovino is one day left in the lurch by the death of his father who was a free spirit and an artistic vagabond.Hameed has no clue who his mother is and the orthodoxy of his community ridicules his orphan status, denying a proper marriage.When Hameed gets to know that his father had multiple wives, he sets out to find his biological mother.The journey that follows has black comedy and warmth and pathos in the right doses.The climax which often falters and ruins most movies which start well is a gem, thankfully in this movie.. though predictable.Cinematography is easy on the eyes and background score is pleasant.A very good effort indeed

Kerala looked like heaven through the camara man's eyes. Loved it.. Uruvashi rocked. Awesome casting. Everything worked well together. I loved the journey more. Personally felt the tempo increased during that time- kind of fast pace. Uruvashi Character changed the whole colour of the movie. Exactly what happens when my generation of cry babies hangs out with parental generation. Crew, applause.... good job....
