Jackie Shroff and Dibyendu Bhattacharya play arch rivals in the series... In past both have played the Counterparts of Chunni Babu in 2 different Adaptations of Devdas. Jackie Shroff Plays the role of Chunni Babu in Devdas (2002) and Dibyendu plays the role of Chunni Lal in Dev.D (2009)
Directly inspired from the UK series of Criminal Justice Season 1 (2008), which also inspired The Night Of (2016) starring Riz Ahmed.
The series was renewed for a second season in February 2020.
