We have seen a few series in India now which will change the industry and what content we are going to see in the next few years. After sacred games this is going to make a difference.very well made the plot , direction , characters and the twists. Hope to see season 2 soon
The season 2 is started from the point it was ended in season 1. Here are the positives and negatives.
Acting: priya bapat has given a stellar performance. More resolute, more determined she is the face of the series. Eijaz khan, as always, is smooth and commendable. Sachin pilgaonkar, ankur rathee and others hv given good products in their limited screentime. Sushant singh has given a haunting performance. But the star is atul kulkarni. His expressions, dialogue delivery, everything is so so perfect.
Character development:the characters hv been developed nicely specially the season 1 cast. Some may argue that unnecessary characters hv been introduced but it may be a build up for season 3. The writing is good.
Bgm and visuals:the bgm is great. Used at good spaces, avoided at some. The cinematography is good. The visuals look very realistic and not fake.
Screenplay:this point is debatable. The screenplay is slow but not boring. Slow only does not been boring. Its a slow burn political thriller so u need to hv some patience.
It does not soar above season 1 but is also not bad. Hoping for a season 3. I rate it 8 out of 10.

Political dramas are very boring to watch as they less likely carry a good content. City of dreams breaks this stereotypes and comes out as shining star. From its title song to casting everything is so satisfying.
The story is completely fictional but seems more real. Every episode takes breath away while watching. Must watch for at least once.

4 independent timelines, quiet different pint of views and awesome script sums up to make MAYANAGARI CITY OF DREAMS.
Series mostly with marathi stars in has appeared to pull it off. It was a long shot but worth it. City of Dreams introduces you to the politics within in a detailed and convincing way.The characters have a lot to define and a huge story can be expected. The next season will come up with something more than just the politics.
You take time to decide a protagonist and an antagonist but its politics, people and politics change their views within seconds.
A MUST WATCH

First of all i thought it will be a average series but when i watched couple of episodes then i realized it was quite engaging. The cast was superb and everyone done their job. As we all know in Bollywood 2nd season of any series does not quite good as the first one but in this case the 2nd season is quite engaging too.
Hats Off to the City of Dreams Team!!

Story of a political family , very slow pace with the irritating background score almost throughout the series. Predictable plot . We have already seen stories like this in Rajneeti, Tandav etc. Lead actors have done well. The subplots are a waste of time not adding anything to the main plot. Overall watchable.

Utterly poor writing for season3. Even post watching i can say there is no meaning of season 3. There was no story . However if you watch last episode then also you will get to know everything. Thats the poor writing. All the characters are left independently. No strong connection atall with story or main character.
Main character is all about survival and Dynasty of Gaikwad family and then she is the only who is killing one by one.
Just dialogue was all about honesy integrity and to work for people then as a main character she is doing opposite of that. So its looks like nonsense.
Till Season2 was nice must watch.

When & how political Dynamics take turn was well scripted. Katrina love story streched for creating good length. Story keeps suspense what will happen next .
Character WASIM is superb Played by eijaz Khan. I think there should be more acting part should be given to Atul in next season

A 6.5 hours series with a not so known start cast (largely Marathi actors not known in North) can always make you think twice whether it can be watched. At a time when most movie writers fail to write a tight 2 hour script, this series just shows how web based content is at a different level altogether!
This is a political thriller that keeps you on the edge right from the beginning and continues to surprise you throughout. Powerful performances by all the lead actors makes this series worth watching.
This would have been worth a full rating had it not been for the countless intimacy scenes sprinkled through the episodes which have absolutely no connection to an otherwise brilliant storyline.
Don't go by the criminally less reviews and ratings available, this is surely a hidden gem!

When will indian content creators learn to delete the unnecessary things in their web series.this series is filled with unnecessary aspects which only makes it boring towards the end and also the end is really predictable.

All star cast, cast selection for particular roles, costumes, make up, get up, storyline, plot presentation, screen setting, screen presence of every character, dialogues, dialogue delivery, most important acting of every star is far beyond excellence. This series deserves to be in 9+ club. Hats off to this talented director.

The pilot episode hooks you up and you can not wait to binge watch this series. It seems to be a political thriller but the screenplay is clean enough to entice you to watch it without getting distracted and feeling the weight of the happenings in the story. Normally, such dramas tend to be shot in dark to emphasize the grittiness of the story, but not here. Till the last scene of the pilot episode, there is no night scene and even this scene is well lit. This series has interesting characters, screenplay that is light as in not giving you headache and starts several plotlines, not just one. Can not wait to watch more episodes after the pilot.
Recommended.
Update: As the season 1 progresses, unnecessary plot details of secondary characters are added and make the series unwatchable in parts. Season 1 should have been 5-6 episodes instead of 10. Season 2 and 3 were entirely unnecessary.
Priya Bapat's acting is poor compared to other actors. Characters in later season become caricatures.
Reducing the rating from 8 based on pilot episode to 6 for overall series including season 2 and 3.

We sit on the edge of the sofa to watch but in season 3 they added Ranvijay which spoiled it for me....season 1 had intresting drama family plot was amazing but Ranvijay does not look connected real and because of his past shows he has no sound. The turn of event is still awaited but concept is same the story is going further . The Thailand twist was very nice .. my rating has changed because of Ranvijay only he does not deserve to be part of this Show this is raw acting is raw real feels like life style with out much they have achieved a lot in the show Priya Bapat amazing acting skills you win out hearts with your acting..
