With respect to other reviewers, I think you've got to watch an entire episode to make an informed decision about the show. We wouldn't say we love it but it is entertaining, genuinely funny in places.

I actually quite liked it .the characters are funny and worked well together it definitely got better with each episode only negatives I can think of are some references can be a bit dated .i think they just need to decide how dark they want it to be and then match the humour to it .I'd definitely be up for seeing where they take it

One of the worst things I've ever watched. Sue Perkins seems to be carved from wood. Best if these two stick to light entertainment and give acting a swerve, best for the audience that is.

Struggled through episode 1. Infact turned it off before the end. However, I started it again with a different view and once you get that its not supposed to be laugh out loud hilarious, its supposed to be ridiculous. Then you'll enjoy it more. We shouldn't be taking these shows so seriously. Its lighthearted and fun. I really enjoyed the whole season. I binged watched it haha

8 minutes with a lot of effort but then I had to bail. This is not funny. This is so not funny it actually hurts. Don't bother and go find something more worthwhile to watch...like paint drying for instance.
Very funny! If you're only going to watch 8 mins of episode 1 you shouldn't be leaving a review

I don't understand how some one can watch a first episode for 10 minutes then dismiss a whole season?
It's quite funny in places, maybe more smiles than guffaws but I liked the show and the two leads work well together, which is not surprising I suppose!

I have a sense of humour. I know I do. It's not to everyone's taste, and it can be a bit dark, but I can make people laugh. I've appeared on the West End Stage, once, at a charity gig, to make people laugh, and I was asked to do that because I can - make people laugh.
This can't. It's awful. Truly, madly, deeply - awful. I watched it with a completely open mind, and I couldn't even smile, let alone laugh. I am well aware of the reputation of the two leading ladies, but I promise you, they have made a terrible mistake with this. It is not funny. And I recognise that can only be my opinion, because comedy and humour, like so many other things in our lives, is entirely subjective. But it's still not funny. Honestly. In my opinion.
The timing is interesting, coinciding as it does with "Kate and Koji", the new sitcom by Andy Hamilton & Guy Jenkin. (They wrote, amongst other things, Drop The Dead Donkey and Outnumbered). Kate and Koji is good. It's not as good, yet, as their other stuff, but it's good. It makes me laugh, and it's the first new 'sitcom' to do that in quite a while. And it is so much better than Hitmen, against which it cannot fail to be compared, simply because of the timing.
So there you are. It's an honest review, with no spoilers. Happy to discuss and, I think, especially with anyone who would care to pick one or two lines, or a specific segment they find particularly hilarious, and explain to me just why that is.

Incredible series and well acted. And, I mean incredible in reference to other vehicles in the genre. If you liked Grosse Point Blank and The Big Hit, you'll like this. It's what you get when you pick two of the most inept bunglers to do contract killings. Also think the Pink Panther series of movies. This is pure comedy and is not meant to be taken seriously. Understand that to enjoy it.

"Hitmen" (S01, 6 eps, 1/2hr, Netflix) is a farcical take on hitmen, er, hitwomen. Our female protags, Fran and Jamie, are one of Mr K's teams of contract killers, though the most hapless apparently. They always nail their mark, but only after sufficient hilarity which is a mix of feminine neuroses and latent lesbianism. Many times I lament that these streaming seasons are too short, but six eps of this is about right, just as it was getting tiresome. The finale should lead to a different type of sophomore season, as they're pursued by Fran's fantasy girl.

It's not that bad, Mel is very funny, and compared to some sky one original comedies this is better than most (in my opinion). The chemistry is excellent and the supporting characters are all very watchable and engaging.
It's not going to win any awards (I don't think), but as far as an easy to watch 30 min show goes, it hits the mark for me.
Another series would not go amiss
Ghastly. Possibly the worst show I have ever seen on TV. Pull it and spare us the agony.

Hitmen takes out a contract on humour and fulfils it. This is a genuinely unfunny mix of bungling, socially dysfunctional killers, with a matter of fact, blithe style of humour that simply doesn't gel.
The acting is fine but for me, the script leaves a lot to be desired.
3/10.

Not one to watch for intellectual purposes or to find pure entertainment, but. Properly humorous in certain scenes
Again. If you're looking for something to pass time and laugh a bit. Perfect
But if you're going to be very specific and quite invested into a perfect storyline that's not "stupid" don't watch.

I'm sorry I can't review the whole show because I turned it off after twenty minutes and made sure the Sky box couldn't series link it, I did not find one moment in this that I could say was funny. How ever much this cost to make it was money down the drain. The normal way of writing would be to hook the viewer with the first episode and expect them to tune back in for the second one, that failed miserably.

Watched all 6 of 1st year and found it humorous. Nice comedy timing with new ideas and plot twists. Would say the weakest one was number six it was a 7 star. But I boulder if the one and two star are just looking for something to troll.
These two make a really good team 😂😂 I Hope there's season 2 coming next year

What a load of rubbish seems if your famous sky pay you to make rubbish
Shame when there's loads of unknown writers about who never get chance
Watch this if you want to fall asleep
Fran and Jamie are professional hitmen, operating for a mysterious Mr Big they call Mr K. They operate from a van and roam to their jobs, occasionally crossing paths with another crew on the payroll.
Before watching, this programme struck me as an odd premise or, even worse, trying to stand out just by being different - having a wacky premise. That's not the case at all and I was really pleased I gave it a chance. It pulled me warmly in from the first episode. Being honest, two episodes are a bit flat in parts but the sparkle in the majority easily gave it a high average mark. It's genuinely good fun with light abandon. That makes the occasional darker moments even more of a pleasure.
I'm writing this when just the six episodes of series one were available. For all I know, they're the only ones there'll be but I sincerely hope more will arrive.

Jamie (Mel Giedroyc) and Fran (Sue Perkins) are lifelong best friends. It just so happens that they are hitmen working for Mr. K. They are Dumb and Dumber. Fran is struggling with her absent gay husband who married her for a visa. She also has a crush on rival hitman Liz. Jamie is Dumber.
This is a British comedy TV show. It takes two seasons before it gets to its compelling reveal. It probably should have done that at the end of the first season although British season are very short. Nevertheless, the first season needs to end with a bigger bang. I do like this duo. The ladies are low key funny. The show needs something to sell it.
