I will try and finish this because I watched the Korean version which so far I prefer. Firstly I so wanted to repeatedly slap the ghost. Unrelenting selfishness was her best quality in this version. Her ability to upset me was only surpassed by the sous chef who had no redeaming characteristics at all. The main male should have done the ghost slapping for me. The non ghost girl was doormat. I am up to episode eight - halfway- soon it will be decision time abandon or persevere.
Well I finished it . The second half was an improvement onn the first half .The sous chef and his gang of school girls was still a pain and the main man was still wek. The main girl had some charm and the ghost girl seemed to get a conscience towards the end The las tfive minutes was pretty bad, I think the writer/editor couldnt work out how to finish up so they chose this ending. I still prefer the Korean verson The sub titles were mostly allright.there were however some grammer and spelling mistakes/typos.

Just finished the season. I really liked it. Didn't watch the Korean version so I have nothing to compare it to. Just enjoying it as it is. Acting is fine. I am not sure what others are complaining about. It's sweet, touching and filled with enough content to get me to come back for more. I say just give it a shot. Turn your brain off and enjoy it as a very entertaining show.

I thoroughly enjoyed the series very much. The most outstanding part of it was that all the roles seem to be played by the actors and actresses that are really suitable for them. The chemistry between the main leads are just sparking! Noona was a quality Thai actress who can pull out both personalities required for this role perfectly. Arak is very handsome in this film and he did good job, too. He played the strict chef who can look funny at times and he is so cute when he interacts with Noona. Even the rest of supporting characters are so right for their roles. The female ghost in this movie are so well-performed by Keerati. It's almost like the role was created for her and she just shines. Another actress to be complimented is Daraneenuch in the role of the old shaman lady. She is so funny to watch and add a lot colors and laughter to the film. Even the man who played the father of Khaopun did great job, too.
So, what I'm saying is everything seems fine and entertaining once you get the right cast and good directing. The story itself has element of superstition and a bit unrealistic, but that can be looked over because this film is meant to be a romantic comedy and it gives the audience the swoon and the laugh, even a bit of tears in the dramatic moments. Thumbs up for the director and everyone involved in the making of this series. This is a really good re-make of Korean one, in my opinion at least.

I gave two stars for the acting alone done by the dad of the deceased daughter.
Korean version: The Korean version which is amazing and rated a ten. The acting done by the Entire Korean cast was astounding. The two leads had sizzling chemistry and surrounded by great secondary cast. Also, the cooking scenes were ten times better in the Korean version.
Network version:Two leads were not strong enough actors to carry a drama. They also did not have chemistry. The secondary cast (restaurant staff) were awful and I fastforwarded all their scenes after four episodes. They did not do any research on cooking which SHOWED. The rain character got in my nerves like JarJar ninja from Star Wars.
Loved the actress that played the deceased daughter and thought she would have played the main lead. Also the dad was a pure joy to watch and is the sole reason I kept watching.
Would recommend you watch Oh my Ghostness the Korean Version

I LOVE this show! I have not seen the Korean one yet but I may be a bit biased since I really like this one, I love how you make a special connection with everyone on the show, I didn't like the Chef at the beginning but as you keep watching the show you start to like him and really get to know him. I'm hoping there's a second part! I wasn't really hooked onto this show till the second episode so give it time. Once you hit the interesting part in the story line you won't stop watching till it's done, it's absolutely amazing! Thank you for such an amazing show, honestly can't wait for the next season if there's one!

I watched this first episode for first time with my mom, and when I recognize a scene which caught my eye. The guy who was talking to the employee for her habits, and her behavior at work. He has some points you shouldn't be sorry for. For example, having to apologize for their mistakes. When in reality they're human who makes mistakes too, and they can learn from them. Because learning from your mistakes actually helps with growth.
However, this doesn't mean you should be less sympathetic to the core. Being less sympathetic and rebellious doesn't make you a good person it destroys your view of people in society, the world, and how you see everything.
I think the character who is speaking to one of the main characters is the manager of the restaurant, and no manager should not act like this. Although I am self aware this is acting, and a show. Recently I watched a video of person with disability who's capable of doing anything, and assume they were decorating a cake. The employee with disability is capable, and I think there was a man who underestimated them, and thinks they can't allow people who are weak, and has disabilities work in the workplace. The video was made by Dhar Man if you know about him for his underestimate people less, and listen to people more, and their story.
The scene from this episode of 'oh my ghost', and my moms going to continue watching this show, and for me no. Employees and customers with disabilities, disorders, and mental illnesses should not be underestimated, and looked down upon. Because they are humans and struggle as everyone else, and still capable at doing anything. In real life there's actually a law or rule in USA for persons with disabilities there's a right for these specific group who has rights especially for working in the work place.
If I were to give wisdom to anyone it would be, "Being weak doesn't mean they're weak. It makes the weak stronger. And the strong are strong willed, however it doesn't mean they are all that strong. Strong will people can also be weak too as well. " No matter how strong or weak you are both of them has something in common, which is each of them has their own flaws, and weaknesses.
Overall, the first episode could be better. However the series was released in 2018, so I am unsure if there will be a continuation of this series. If anyone is going to watch this I will not stop anyone from watching 'Oh my ghost'. I wanna give a reminder some scenes might give people some thoughts how people in real life at restaurants are treated in comparison to a show series. By the way my mom is big on Asian shows, and movies I can't stop her from watching these kind of shows, and some of them were actually funny.
