A fun romance set in Beijing China with well-played, though sometimes exaggerated and one-dimensional characters. A little trite in some areas and weird (from perhaps a western-cultural viewpoint) behaviorisms and portrayals of romance.
Still even with that said, I enjoyed the series. It's a bit reliant on flashbacks but that might've irritated me more due to binging it in such a short time. Additionally some of the plot may have gotten lost in auto-translate, as I was not able to watch it with official/professional subtitles (though many idioms were explained).
I enjoyed the boy pursues girl trope as well as the reluctant suitor / reversed reaction overlay and there were plenty of obstacles for them to conquer... all in all, I binged both seasons in two days.

I don't much care about the gaping plot holes, actually. They were a minor distraction - but this continuation was even more engaging than the first series. There was some continuity distractions and the mentioned plot holes but the rest is just fun and enjoyable interactions with a storyline driven by long-held grudges, typical-genre misunderstandings and the interesting twist of the romantic lead being significantly low on EQ - comically so.
I recommend it as long as you are forewarned. It was enjoyable and I will likely watch it again in the near future.

Wondering why such a beautiful drama has low star rating.
This is another good exapmle where cannot go only based on ratings.
I dont write review most of trhe time but this time I would love to wrtie of the Female lead. I simply love each bit of Female lead scenes, her role was fantastic.
This is highly recommended to watch if you love Romcom KDrama or CDrama.

One of the best shows I've ever watched. Witty and beautifully acted. A mandatory watch if you have taste. You'll be glued to your TV once you start watching. Where can I buy the DVD? I'll be rewatching it in years to come.

This drama is labeled as romantic drama. It's more of deceit, lies & betrayal.
She is unintelligent i season 1, she is still as dense in season 2.
Even if she renamed herself & a famous fashion designer at a young age, the curiosity is how come she still lacks of money.
She repeatedly tells lies. When he repeatedly he tells her she lies, she should stop & refute. Not laugh like its a natural thing. Her laugh & gtin is exaggerated. She cant detect when something is wrong. She acts stupidly frequently!
The build up story from season 1 so either one can continue watching season 2 or leave it as that as I like to watch how the plot unfolds with regards to Gu sheng/male lead whether he gains superiority after years of leadership.
Secondly as to see when the old hack will be kicked of the company.
The grandmother/chairman is pure evil! She thinks at she is above all. She enjoyed humiliating people & slapping others!
Tired of watching the so-called model who is full of herself!
Peck on the lips are not kissing. Couldnt see the passion or chemistry between the main leads.
If you just want a drama to pass the time, then watch or else there are other much better cdrama that is labeled as romance. This is definitely not it.

I'm surprised Seven Tan was involved with this sort of insipid, poorly written and poorly acted romance drama. The ML, with his weird jawline and greasy face, is an appalling actor who needs to go back to acting school. In addition to all that, the script writers and the director thought it was funny to dress one of the main leads in Black face and fake dreadlocks. Not only was it implicitly racist, it added nothing to the plot and was in no way funny.
(The best-laid plans should never be expected to go well.
Gu Cheng Ze (Jiang Chao) is the CEO of the Gu Mall Corporation. But his adopted family wants their biological son, Gu Jin Yu (Daniel Zhang), to take over the reigns of family company and puts Cheng Ze in charge of grooming the heir.
When Cheng Ze learns that Jin Yu still harbors feelings for his ex-girlfriend, fashion designer Li Yan Shu (Tan Song Yun), Cheng Ze hires her to join the company to entice Jin Yu to join the company. The plan works until Jin Yu's disapproving mother demands that Chang Ze separate Jin Yu and Yan Shu.
When Cheng Ze starts to develop feelings for Yan Shu, what will become of his carefully laid plans?
"The Fox's Summer" is a 2017 Chinese drama series directed by Yu Zhong Zhong. The story continues in "The Fox's Summer Season 2" (2017). The series is based on the online novel When the President Falls in Love by Shen Cang Mei.)

No matter how hard I tried I could not make myself watch till the end. To be honest if it wasn't for the story (has potencial) or the cute CEO I wouldn't have given it 5 stars.
I found the leading female to be rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful for others and she still believes she is entitled to ev everything. Down right annoying. I was deeply disappointed.
The leading man, like most, was proudful, order freak with a tad or a germaphobe. I guess it's understandable when you are just filling in for the true heir Gu Jin Yu (Daniel Zhang), while he is out partying and having a good time.
It all becomes a big mess when feeling start flying around and jealousy comes in to interrupt a perfectly laid out plan.
