- TriviaThe Outrider is a zero budget film. With a Canon Rebel DSLR, DIY Lighting Rigs and an old shotgun mic the Director and Producer worked on every aspect of the film. From the screenplay, principal photography, editing, staging, lighting, sound, vfx and cover art. Everything in the feature was made with no cost. The cast of actors worked tenaciously without a fee to help bring this story to life.
All locations were granted for use at zero cost and the score was also created by an award winning composer who loved the project so much that he worked on over 80 minutes of music for the film.
Principal photography took over 60 days to complete in an 8 month span and the director/editor cut the scenes as footage came in.
- GoofsIn the demon reveal scene, Nichols Bright is wearing a jacket during his conversation with Misty O'Neal. After the demon appears and Misty protects her guests, Nicholas Bright escapes from the home with Pastor Paul. The next scene outside, Nicholas isn't wearing a jacket anymore.
Featured review
In all genuine honesty, this movie has really made me the most uncomfortable I've ever been. The acting is sincerely unsettling and unprofessional. The plot is the same plot that stereotypically depicts a supposedly heroic identity. You had a penny in your left hand and the chance to forge a gold ingot in your right. You chose the penny... As a director (and I mean no disrespect with this) you should know how a good movie is supposed to look and feel. For example, I'm not sure you took in consideration the audio quality and the static and generic shots and poor cinematography. All of these things did poorly in captivating and keeping my attention at their hands. Once you catch an idea, you should at all costs work to make it an idea no one has ever seen and felt before. This idea you came up with has been used hundreds of times in the movie industry. You could've done a whole lot better, honestly.
