If one is going to review a show, like the first review, then actually review the show instead of complaining about how 'she's in everything'. Maybe she is in everything because people like her and she is doing something that resonates with a lot of people. So it only makes sense that she would have this special. And it's not like the 'Haddish Invasion' is making it so that you can't turn around without seeing her. She's not Jennifer Lopez - who is as over-exposed as you can possibly be.
I'm a huge Tiffany Haddish fan and I always look forward to seeing her appear on things - I especially loved her on the Letterman Netflix show. And I do love her stand up but it gets to be a bit much: the pandering to the audience but I guess that's the point: people WANT that. he Jewish angle of it all did make it very interesting and even educational in some ways. But for some reason, as much as I love female comedians, there's a certain over-the-top bombastic quality that they are resorting to that makes it seem like they are making up for material that is lacking. Watch the first 5 minutes of the Iliza Schlessinger special - with the screaming from what seems like an Oprah audience and the flames and fire... it's just ridiculous. I think my main problem with a lot of these specials is that the laughing to applause ratio is not good. I don't want to watch any comedy show that is telling me stuff that makes me nod my head and clap and maybe chuckle. I want to laugh. It reminds me of a quote that a great man once said.

What is wrong with the reviewers on this title? Four in total, two ones and two sixes...What??? It appears none of them are able to spot talent even if it swaffled their nose for half an hour.
Straighforward, honest, deceptively vulnarable, a unique style and at times funny as hell. This stand up show is seriously good.

The jokes land fine. I'm just sick of the Haddish invasion where she is in everything. The Lego Movie, Night School, Keanu, and soooo much more!
I'm a comic and this is NOT stand-up it's a family talent show "performance. This says a lot about the state of comedy today. No ammount of money is worth producing something this unfunny yet.. tah-dah! Tiffany Haddish is WOW level terrible. I still cannot believe someone spent money to make this. Her working a room probably full of her family & friends with stories about them and how famous they are. This show is a nightmare, and an embarrassment to stand-up comedy. We need to be honest if we want to improve comedy, and ultimately laugh more.

Definitely not for the family gathering, but funny personal commentary. We laughed a lot
I've never understood the hype around Tiffany Haddish. I've seen her in acting capacities and to me, she seems to play the exact same character in everything. Never saw any of her stand up routines so I gave this one a try. And one thing I noticed was that just like Iliza Shlesinger's newest special, she's performing to a crowd of pandering seals waiting at the ready to clap and bark at literally everything she says. For example she said "I bought a microscope" and the crowd actually whooped and hollered at it. She even had to tell the crowd to sit down because for whatever reason after an opening standing ovation they just....kept standing?
She didn't seem to be telling jokes. She was basically just talking AT the audience about the most random things. Everything she said seemed to be going for applause rather than laughs. Even to the point where she kept pausing, expecting a round of clapping in return. The whole thing was just a mess. And after seeing this and other things she's been in, I'm STILL at a loss for why the powers that be keep trying to make this woman happen.
The only reason I gave this trash one star was because i couldn't give it zero.

I watched this and found it to be thoroughly enjoyable. I appreciate the raw humor, though some may find it to be over the line I do not agree, only that it is for mature audience of course. I am looking forward to watching and listening to more from Tiffany Haddish. I really enjoy her as a comedic icon and actress as well as writer though I have yet to read her writing I am certain I will like it.

I never knew Tiffany Haddish was a stand up comedian, I saw her in the Kevin Hart movie and thought she was an actress. I enjoyed her in that movie. I watched her They Ready special and while I found her annoying I enjoyed some of those comics - actually I enjoyed those comics much more than I did watching this special.
I am still trying to figure out where the "jokes" were in this special. She is literally just talking and when she wants a laugh she starts talking loudly and shaking her head. Sorry, but just raising your voice and snapping your head is not going to get a laugh from me. Also, the entrance was super weird. She came out on a chair with men carrying her and starting --- singing, rapping, I don't know. I was like what the heck is this that I am watching. I have a feeling the audience had to be guided as to when to make noise as it did not sound natural at all but rehearsed. Then she spent 5 minutes having her team come out on stage to fix her outfit that was riding up her ass, and during that a white stage hand was sweeping the floor and she made a comment "yeah white girl sweep that floor". I thought that was extremely distasteful. Can you imagine if a white person made a similar comment? If it's not ok for one race, then it's not ok for any race.
Overall, I didn't laugh a single time watching this "comedy" special and I feel that her comedy is extremely overrated.

I wouldn't give this special a participation award, let alone a grammy. Black lives matter politics gave her a free grammy. It certainly wasn't because she was funny. This special was TERRIBLE.

I'm a fan of Tiffany Haddish and find her humor and her acting very enjoyable. This special, however, is just an hour of name dropping, "look how successful I am" and "you had the be there" type humor. There are a few funny jokes that land hard (especially in the second half) and had me laughing so I stuck with it for it's entirety.
I won't watch Black Mitzvah again and don't recommend it to others.

This does not look like a stand up show, rather than some sort of support group. hurray for her: she has stopped smoking, she is content with her body size and shape. and the audience was really supportive, so there were no laughs, rather cheers to keep her morals up.
I am a huge fan of comedy, no matter who it is. I came into this being optimistic, hoping that maybe since she bombed in Miami, she might actually have some material for this special. Wow was I ever wrong. The material was severely lacking and the setup didn't even make me want to hear the punchline. Even the jokes that were her best ones in this set weren't that great. I love Tiffany as a person, but maybe standup just isn't her thing. Still waiting!

Love Tiffany, but damn this was kinda horrible. I went through the special, laughing here and there but never truly felt like I'm watching something funny. Didnt do it for me.
