- SELF-DISCOVERY THROUGH A NEWFOUND FRIENDSHIP Buddy is a mouse living in the theme park's small confectionery store concession stand in 1962. Today is his lucky day as you help him get his cheese out of the trap. He brings us into his world where everything tiny is now huge! Besides the fantastic world where the chocolate bar is a size of basketball stand, this lonely mouse is caught hiding his sorrow. Since Buddy is a mouse who can't talk, we communicate with only body gestures such as nodding and eye contact. We first learn each other's name and start exploring our surroundings. Buddy hands us a pair of candy cane to and we start jamming on the ketchup tube and bottle caps. Suddenly we are interrupted by a loud earthquake. It's the same little big girl who took Buddy's friends away! She strikes us down with her hand, which is size of the statue of liberty! We desperately run for our lives and am forced to play a game of hide and seek with death. We work together to distract the giant by throwing gum balls, while only listening to her footsteps. "Do you have courage to protect your Buddy?" We return to the reality as we discover the embarrassed little girl by the concession stand. She runs out in panic as we are back in normal size. Buddy is happy with his new best friend but also knows this magical time can't be forever. He gives you a very special gift to remember as he walks away. With hints from Whitehead's process philosophy, the interactivity of this film employs an experience where virtual Buddy and the audience is constantly moving to prove their existence in the virtual world. Although a controller is used, users do not have to throw or shoot things to progress the story, but its based on their personal value to drive the interactive narrative. We soon discover friendship through a mirror of our existence; Buddy.
