Thapki Pyar Ki 2′ actor Sandeep Kumaar is returning back to the small screen after two years with the drama ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. The actor said he never took a break from work but was exploring the digital space.

Sandeep said: “I’m happy to return back to doing a TV show. I’m back after two years and the excitement is the same as it was before, during the time I was making my debut. When I got the opportunity for ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’… I just couldn’t say ‘no’ because the show is very popular and my family also enjoys watching it.”

The actor, who is known for featuring in shows like ‘Bahu Begum’, ‘Manmohini’ and ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’, will essay the role of Manav in Samridhi Shukla and Shehzada Dhami-starrer ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’.

Lucknow, May 23 (Ians) The City station, located in old Lucknow, is emerging as a favourite shooting location for filmmakers.

The railways have now decided to give a makeover to the City station.

The station, with a daily traffic load of 1,600 passengers is to be modernised under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ of the Union Ministry of Railways.

The makeover cost is around Rs 8 crore.

Mahesh Gupta, public relation manager, Ner, said: “The station, which is already the most sought-after railway station for film shooting these days. would benefit from the revamp in terms of demand and facilities. Actor Sidharth Malhotra says he drew inspiration from Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan's performances in order to essay his larger-than-life role in the upcoming "Marjaavaan".

"You don't do larger-than-life things in real life. I am fighting with 10 people at the same time and I am breaking things (in the film). I have been a fan of (Amitabh) Bachchan saab or Shah Rukh (Khan) sir, who have played such roles successfully in their careers. I have taken inspiration from them, so that we can do something interesting in our zone. I think the things that you do in a film should look convincing and believable to the audience when they watch a film," said Sidharth, while interacting with the media to promote "Marjaavaan" along with co-actor Riteish Deshmukh and the film's director Milap Zaveri.

As the ongoing Icc Cricket World Cup 2019 fever has sports aficionados in its grip, actor Sidharth Malhotra had a personal anecdote to share from his childhood -- recalling how he used to disturb his grandmother's sleep by playing cricket at his home.

"There was a driveway and garden space in my house, and my cousins lived close-by. We used to play cricket in the afternoons, the garage door was our wicket.

"The ball used to keep hitting the door and making loud noises. My poor grandmom used to always get disturbed and couldn't get her noon naps. Playing cricket has always been fun," Sidharth said while promoting his upcoming film "Jabariya Jodi" on Star Sports Philips Hue Cricket Live.
