During the three-month long filming in Johannesburg, numerous cast and crew became victims of crime which included random shootings and carjackings. Brendan Fraser even had his cell phone stolen in one violent incident.
Mickey Rourke was briefly attached to this project, which would have been his first appearance in a TV series
Olivier Martinez was also attached for a short time but withdrew after Rourke dropped out
Multiple cast members have previously worked on DC projects. Tom Welling as Clark Kent in the series Smallville (2001), Elena Anaya as Dr. Maru in Wonder Woman (2017), Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele in the series Doom Patrol (2019), Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe in Wonder Woman (2017) and Justice League (2017), and Saïd Taghmaoui as Sameer in Wonder Woman (2017). Many of the cast also appeared in the series Black Sails (2014).
Elena Anaya and Lisa Loven Kongsli both appeared in Patty Jenkins' "Wonder Woman" (2017).
