Murder 4 Dummies started as a 5-minute trailer that was never to be made into a film. It was intended for the actors to own their skills as well as the filmmakers.
This short film was done with a budget of 300 dollars. It was enough money to buy set pieces as well as wardrobe and food for the cast and crew.
Everyone in the film worked for no pay. They believed in this project so much that they showed their passion and dedication understanding that it was almost a 0 budget production.
Because the production was extremely low budget the film hit a few bumps on the road. It went through two different editors until Brian Gualajara with the help of John Dimarco took the reigns on getting it done.
The backyard scene with the boys took 3 days to complete. This is due to having issues with daylight and Airplanes that would interrupt the sound.
