The first Nintendo Switch game I ended up playing all the way through. When it comes to Nintendo, I'm way behind. I never got into the Pokémon games (other than Pokémon Go) and I was never a fanboy for other Nintendo characters/properties. But my friend recently bought the new Switch OLED model, and got this game for us to play.
The campaign is pretty wack. Characters from the Mario universe (including Donkey Kong) meet up to have a party. The players must get all 4 gems to complete the party, with 4 different game modes to beat.
This game isn't supposed to be played for story. You get with friends, maybe smoke a little something something or drink some beers, and absolutely go ham in this. It's lots of fun, with plenty of mini games to play, modes like river rafting and classic Mario party, and even a dancing mode. It's fun, but nothing truly amazing.

This game is incredibly overpriced for what you get. Just buy Mario party superstars, it has more boards and difficulties. Is fun to begin but gets quite repetitive when playing alone. There is also less mini games than previous titles and some feel rushed and unpolished. The boards are also very basic and don't take very long to master. Please just buy Mario party superstars or stick with previous Mario party titles.
