Really, I laughed a lot and that means that movie is fine. Didn't expect too much, but I expected to hear a good humor and that happened. Every character is unique and shows that everyone makes a certain dose of mistakes driven by a different questions and situations. From my point of view the best of them are characters of JP, Valérie, Loïc and Arnaud Lubert.
Once.
Quite good performance from the actors though (trying to fulfill the need for 150 characters in the body of the review - not so easy).

Life sometimes takes a painfull path... friends and family are often a good way to get the strength it takes to keep going... Chamboultout is all about it... and makes you think a little bigger than just yourself...

A bittersweet comedy full of excellent middle-aged actors.
Following the serious accident suffered by her husband Frederic, Beatrice writes an autobiographical book on her last and painful years incorporating her entourage, especially her friends, in a manner a bit raw and probably clumsy. So to speak, a catharsis without filter, as a first book. After a quick introduction, most of the film takes place on the Basque coast, near Biarritz, with its beautiful landscapes, for Frederic's birthday. All friends who have just discovered the book, without necessarily appreciating it as a sweet euphemism, are invited. Will friendship be stronger than susceptibility ?
A special mention for José Garcia, excellent as usual, and Anne Girouard who plays Odile: she is adorable although all at sea!

But a totally immoral subject... unfaithful wife, and all the friends think it´s totally fine... wanted to throw up when I watch it

I enjoyed watching Chamboultout and there are fine moments of comedy that only the French people are capable of. But that is the full extent of what the movie has to offer. The plot could have been more interesting and less shallow. In the end, you don't know what to feel about a woman who's clearly having a hard time taking care of her handicapped husband, but cheats on him with the Portuguese guy she met at Burger King.
