The roles were amazingly performed. It leaves the audience with a "warm feeling"... something that you cant exactly define-a feeling that makes you wanna go home and love your family a little more. Technically great as well. The screenplay is awesome, cinematography is perfect....and the music (with song choices) is heaven. Director Bernal did great!

This movie is soliiid! A feeal good one! A tear jerker! A roller coaster of emotions! The cinematography is sooo good! The directing is on point! Casting is at it's finest! Each role was portrayed by the actor magnificently! Most especially, Sarah Geronimo and Nova Villa. Other characters added a new flavour to this adaptation! It really was touched by filipino culture! Filipino ways and superstitions and values are highly evident! Each songs in the movie is LSS worthy. "Isa Pang Araw" really is greeeaaat! Each scenes are remarkable. Wooow! Just wooow! This is a quality film with a heart!

I actually watched almost all the versions of "Miss Granny" but this one made me cry the most. The way Sarah portrayed her character was so spot-on. The supporting casts also fit their roles well. From the chemistry, the comedic lines, to the heart-breaking moments, everything was perfectly executed. While watching the movie, I realized that Bb. Joyce is a reknown director for a reason. I encourage everyone to watch "Miss Granny", it is a movie that will move you to tears, because of laughing and crying. Truly, it is a movie with a heart.
This is the best adaptation so far! The filipino values are highlighted on this film! Kudos!
Just curious how many of the reviews here are paid for, or are simply written by rabid fans of Ms. Geronimo. Most of the reviews are simple and gushing, without going into any detail, so it smells like BS.
A movie for everyone, not just for granny. It's for everyone. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will go out of the cinema with full of love for your family.
Sarah Geronimo at her very best!

For context, I watched the original version of this film and it had a great structure, the acting was great and the lines were great too. I think the director thought the same because there were some lines that were directly copied from the film without having prior context. The lines were just included because it was in the original film. I only gave it 5 because the actors tried their best to make do with the script that seemed as if it was just translated from korean. Sarah was the best part of this film, although everyone was competent, Sarah carried the film on her shoulders and just made the movie better. Her chemistry with the other actors was great and it's the only thing I loved about this film.
The movie touches the hearts of the viewers....it reminded us to value time, and spend quality time to family and love ones.

I watched the korean miss granny and miss granny ph (3x), both movies have the same storyline but there are parts in the ph version which is modified that will suit the philippine audience.
i must say the korean miss granny is good but its just too plain as in (in my opinion), but the ph version focused on where philippine audience will connect throughly (family matters esp our mother).
the korean version does have the love connection between the producer and miss granny wherein the ph version is not present.
the ph version made me laugh hard and there are parts that made me cried because of realizations.
the OST in this movie is so LSS.
i just love this movie! the actors were all great! <3

Let me start that I don't know about the original material that they based the movie on. I was actually intrigued by the concept of the movie and was really expecting a lot. The first half of character development was quite good. Heart warming, exactly what the movie was aiming for, a light comedy for the whole family to watch. The acting was ok but it never felt uhm natural. It was really forced and often times cringy. The songs was intended for the older crowd and was aiming for the sentimental Filipino movie goers. The last half of the movie was when things turned bad. It turned to a cliche where you can predict what was going to happen next. It felt like the cliches was forced into the movie and the creative team ran out of ideas or did it to appease the masses that didn't like endings that was not any different from other movies. Not to mention how unrealistic it became at the end where nobody even noticed the sudden aging process of the protagonist. Lastly the ending was rushed. I mean literally rushed. 1 year later time jump then credits. That's bad storytelling.
I watched the korean and thai versions, but this PH version has a lot of great things over the other adaptations. The songs are spot-on, all songs has connections to the characters and Sarah Geronimo has the best voice amongst all the adaptation. She nailed each and every song as how she nailed each and every scene, she really is every inch (except the looks) a granny.
The chemistry of Sarah with all the 3 actors (including the old character) is so believable.
The movie will make you laugh and then it will make you cry. Leaving you wondering if you yourself had been good to your parents.

I am not a fan of Sarah Geronimo until this film. I was amazed and moved by her portrayal. The character of Fely Malabaño is really something. The message of the movie was timely. I haven't seen a movie like this in a commercialized movie outfit in PH. I am sorry but I will give this movie 2 thumbs up!

The movie is okay but I was bothered when I saw a scene where Valium was given to Sarah at the pharmacy eventhough there is no prescription at all. They should have done some research about it. Valium is not an OTC drug.
