Went into this with somewhat low expectations, but came away not feeling that I had wasted 80 minutes of my life. Not a high budget movie by any means, yet the production quality was pretty good. I didn't see the usual signs of a low budget movie: inept camera work, exceedingly cheap sets, high school level acting. The movie looked good, but to be fair, I spend a lot of time in Arizona and am familiar with most of the filming locations, so I'm a bit biased.
The actors looked to be well cast, although one of the bad guys was a bit over the top. The female lead was very well cast.
As far as the story goes, I agree with others that the story of the drifter was not as well fleshed out as it should have been. I would've liked seeing his part being more proactive and heroic. Overall, he was a likable character, but it was hard to tell if his actions in the second half of the movie were self-serving, or altruistic.
I don't think this movie rates a "10", but it's certainly better than the low ratings here, too.

There are some reviewers that NEVER give more than a 1 Star rating. All items reviewed by psxexperten over the past two years have all shown a 1 star rating. That makes those reviews worthless in my opinion.
Some original scenes and an inverted unnamed hero in a background of classical opera music; something definitely off the track and entertaining.
Decent little hiest movie. Thought it was going to be far worse than it was. I felt like it sat right on the edge of being really good but never quite got there. If they had written the drifters charachter to be more proactive in his efforts after the action comes to the ranch, I think it would have been much better. He was acting to selfishly for me to really root for the guy which seemed like the writers/directors intent. Acting was ok. Not bad. Not great.

I didn't expect much from this movie but it was quite entertaining. I guess the
story overrode any acting problems and the Arizona locations were nice. Even
my wife liked it and she normally doesn't like movies with violence.

Rarely does the start of a movie draw my interest as fast as
To Hell And Gone did. With its spaghetti western soundtrack
And mix of classical music the movie drew me in straight away
I loved the photography , scenery and camera work
A pretty good turn for the actors also , proof you do not need
A huge budget to make a great movie.

For an obviously low budget seat of the pants movie, I felt it was done well. Not a great film by any stretch, but told a story that was believable. Held my interest as I knew the locales it was shot in and around being Safford, Klondyke, Willcox and Tucson, Arizona. Decent film nonetheless. The characters were believable but the heist was a bit far fetched for the loot. Definitely a situation movie that can happen on any ranch or remote homestead so it brings in the what-would-I-do scenarios. As a back seat observer, it is easy to criticize but I would say it was worth my time. I've definitely sat through worse higher budget films. Good independent modern day western genre type film.
No big name production here but real spaghetti western style. A pretty unbelievable plot with many holes but delivery kept me going.
Try it out.
Saw the poor score, had to comment. Interesting from 1st scene, pretty well done on a very small budget. Absolutely worth a watch. Never slow, decent acting, I enjoyed the movie .

As im looking at the previous 3 reviews who compare this piece of drivel to modern classics it strikes me the producers must have a lot of down time to write glowing reviews of their own work.
Let me save you some minutes in your life...just no.

This is an engaging modern western / crime / heist film that doesn't overstay its welcome. Within the story is a captivating cast of characters, set in a great location, and has an excellent soundtrack to boot!

I like the place, it's scenery, characters and the simplicity of the storyline. And perfect feeling of witnessing the adventures of this drifter guy.
Weak part of the movie (IMHO) was the editing that had left some confusing cuts. Some were not clear enough, or out of rhythm or skipping and leaving me with a feeling that I had missed something - so I had to review those scenes again and again just to feel the same problem.
Meanwhile, this is just my perception. And I write this review exactly because I like the movie!)

Whoever rated this a ten must have never seen any other movie ever. It's better than a one but a ten? Nope not by any means.
Some of the acting is good and some is bad. I think mostly the writing let the actors down.
It's pretty much a Reservoir Dogs wanna be but if you're bored and can't find anything more intriguing is worth it.

The director got a couple things right--beautiful cinematography and a likeable well developed supporting female character. Unfortunately he didn't make the lead male likeable because the character was introduced performing only immoral acts. Getting attached to his actions as a hero "to try save the day" later on wasn't as believable or easy.

Nothing mind blowing or ground breaking but it's a really decent film that was very entertaining and in the end we will watch it again someday. With just a little more of a budget I think this could have been a big film but again it is entertaining and bottom line that's a films MAJOR goal. The acting was very good to excellent some of the characters were unique had a Tarrantino vibe to it with a indie feel. I dont add what I would do as that would be MY film not this directors so I base my reviews on the directors vision. For a low budget it exceeded our expectations.
This movie could have been better, but it was quite entertaining. Who turned out alive at the end was sort of surprising. A couple of choices made by the bad guys were sort of disappointing. And a couple of choices made by the good guys as well. This movie could have easily been PG except for the people getting shot. 18+? Nah. More like PG13.
Overall 5/10.

People on here calling this "epic" or "classic" must not get out of the house much to see real movies. Bad acting, bad script. There is nothing in this movie to make you want to care about any character.
With no rating to speak of when I first found this movie (4 out of 10) I would have simply passed it by, but decided to watch it anyway. Despite no major actors, a very low budget, this movie pulls it off. The produced/director has worked very well with a limited budget, editing is great and acting acceptable. Great entertainment, and that's what matters!

This was one of those random finds on Prime. The title got my attention and the poster looked cool. Usually these picks go South but not this one. This was a very smart, creative and well executed.
Not only is this my kind of movie (No Country For Old Men, Mojave, anything Sergio Leone) but it was well done. This director got it. Any time I was starting to get sick of an idea or something it was resolved. Most movies that attempt the very basic plot run out of gas half way through. This does not.
I loved that the movie just opened without having a bunch of stuff set up. I was expecting the dreaded "2 hours earlier" and was glad to not see it.
It takes a level of skill and confidence to pull off a movie like this. Minimal dialogue with this type of characterization. It's all in the acting, the look and the little bit of information that you get. For example the leader makes a lot of TV show references. You can assume he's a TV watcher. And then draw your own assumptions from that.
This had my undivided attention and I have my eye on this director. I will be telling all my friends to watch this movie.

With a chivalrous loner ,man with no name, and a baroque sound track more akin to Barry Lyndon ,this movie is a joy ride from begining to end. It gives hope that old values of the cowboy code still exist. A must watch for a modern take on a classic genre..sans Clint.
