Yorda tells Ricardo four things in Greek. As a gag, these lines appear on screen in Greek, with no subtitles, but given the context in which they are spoken, they need no translation: "I know I'll see you again", "I like you very much", "I hope you are not like everybody else" and "He is so stupid" (in that order).

At the beginning, in the classroom, at the blackboard, the teacher breaks his chalk before finishing tracing the second line of a double line. In the following scene, the two lines are of equal length.

SPOILER: We learn that the English receptionist at the Italian school (who had returned his lost belongings to Ricardo minus the Spray Color Hair can) is the one who kept it.
