When JJ and Sophie eat ice cream, Sophie's ice cream is orange. When the elevator opens, her ice cream is suddenly pink.

In the final scene at CIA HQ, the photo on ID badge of the female CIA executive (Christina) keeps disappearing and re-appearing between shots.

In the first firefight, JJ uses pistols, but there are rifle casings hitting the floor. (NB--Some pistol casings are shouldered and may resemble rifle casings from the point of view of a movie camera.)

General Gregogovich says "Welcome to Russia." The story begins at the Chernobyl nuclear site in Ukraine, which gained its independence in 1991; however, the annexation ( = overturned independence ) of the Crimean peninsula in 2014, and the invasion in February 2022, suggest that many senior Russian leaders never really accepted that; so, a hard-line rogue general might well refer to Ukraine as being part of Russia out of habit and wishful thinking.

At the airport, the signage on the tanker truck is "Fruge Jet Fuel," but the DOT hazard sign is "1203" (gasoline) instead of "1863" (jet fuel).

While in Berlin, the license plates of various cars show a sticker for emissions testing (AU). Those stickers are not issued anymore since 2010.

When JJ "trains" Sophie to be an agent, JJ uses an analog polygraph machine. They were used up until the 1990s, when replaced with laptops/digital polygraph. It would be very rare to have any agency or bureau still use an analog polygraph device.

However, it is possible that JJ, not being a geek and being somehow very old school, would actually own and operate one of these. Furthermore, this is obviously played for laughs.

When JJ enters the apartment and discovers Kate having trouble with the leaking water line, it is shown that the leak comes from where the line enters the shut-off valve. After JJ makes the leak worse, Kate quickly reaches in and closes the valve, stopping the leak. Since the leak was coming from below the valve, closing it would not stop the leak. Closing the valve would only stop leaks which occur above it.

Obvious stunt double (different body size and hiding his face) when JJ falls on his back and then on his face while ice-skating.

When Bobbi takes a selfie in the elevator, JJ appears on the screen without his leather jacket and fish tank.

The very same French 2CV Citroën car is seen twice in the Paris scenes (once parked in the background when Victor hijacks a car on a video footage and once passing by when Victor takes pictures in the street at 42'47"). It would be extremely unlikely for it to happen in real life, revealing that it was used by the film production.

Obvious product placement for Doritos, Cheerios, Oreo and... Fiat.

When in Berlin, a group of CIA operatives chase some bad guys with guns drawn near a frequently used street. The appearance of a group of armed people would have resulted in members of the public informing the police and, consequently, a massive police operation, which a foreign intelligence agency would probably try to avoid.

Early in the movie, JJ tunes a car radio to multiple FM stations in Chernobyl. The land around there, known as the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, now extends 1,000 square miles. There are no FM stations that can broadcast into Chernobyl with clarity, nor would a radio station bother to broadcast to an unpopulated area the size of Luxembourg.

The airport in the final fight is supposedly in Naperville, IL. Although there is an airport in Naperville (Naper Aero Club/Aero Estates), it is not on the edge of a massive quarry. It is connected to a neighborhood of pilots. The fictional Callahan Airfield in the film is actually Markham Airport near Toronto, Canada. There is no place on the ground in Naperville where you can see the Willis Tower as shown as they enter the airfield.

The Eiffel Tower is conveniently and clearly seen in all Paris introduction settings.

The dog fountain shown labeled "PARIS FRANCE" is actually the Berczy Park Fountain in Toronto, Canada. The Eiffel tower in the shot was obviously added in post production since the building in the foreground is also in Toronto.

The CIA never recruits people with ANY tattoos, much less with so many that both arms are covered.

The CIA is extremely restricted in the collection of intelligence information directed against US citizens, especially on US soil. They would not be surveilling these people in Chicago.

JJ does not shoot the departing vehicles tires despite being so close to it and thus safely stopping the car.
