Based on Kristina Ohlsson's novels. Episode 1-2 is based on the novel "Askungar" or "Unwanted". Episode 3-4 is based on the novel "Tusenskönor" or "Silenced". Episode 5-6 is based on the novel "Davidstjärnor" or "The Chosen". Episode 7-8 is based on the novel "Änglavakter" or "The Disappeared". And finally, episode 9-10 is based on the novel "Syndafloder" or "The Flood". The sixth novel "Paradisoffer" or "Hostage" is the basis of the spin-off series, Kapningen (2023).
