Not as grt as some but it's a good movie and the idiotvreview who says about the actress being bad I'm afraid he needs to carry on watching cartoons
Lee Young-ae's performing skills really tell that she's a good actress! However, the plot wasn't making much sense. Felt like it could have been much better if the plot were altered.

Bring Me Home was an unusual experience. Despite the slow-burn pacing of the plot, I found myself gripped from start to finish, several moments in particular leaving me frustrated in the best way. Lee Young-ae portrays the mother of a missing child, her state being practically catatonic for the majority of the film. I can see how some might find this tiresome, but the emotion that bled through had me captivated. At no point in the film did I see the actress, I saw the character in her heartbroken state, and I couldn't look away. There were moments that I would change, as the tone shifts back and forth throughout the film, but it didn't negatively impact my experience enough to write this one off. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a slow-burn rollercoaster of Korean cinema.
I would say this missing son theme movie had been filmed million times and ending always the same. The unusual ending makes me rate up a bit. For the process, it's not too bad to watch but not very intense though. Li act is indescribable always.
A mom look for her missing child. Quite boring but last 45 min it was soo good and twists are awesome...and her decision was soo well..

What cop is so dense that he doesn't take a picture of a suspected, abused and abducted child? I turned off the movie before being insulted any further. Could've been a really good movie but the gratuitous play on emotions was way too thick.

This is one of the few movies I found totally great after reading bad reviews. They have done a great job at background score.

Agonizing 2 hours. Boring plot until nearly the end of the movie to show some twists. Still, don't waste your time unless you like to feel helpless, hopeless and brainless.
Missing Child cases ... it's something baffling. It's something that eats up families, not having closure. It also leads to certain crimes, one crazier than the other maybe. It can also lead to some people having information for you and some that don't. It may lead to people close to you, trying to exploit that situation. There are many social messages and critiques and commentary the movie is giving us. Still it is all in the name of tension and "entertainment". So you won't feel like the movie is lecturing you.
Still you might feel inclined to change some of your thinking and ways after seeing this. It's not easy to digest and it is even tougher to keep track of missing kids. Some of us might have seen a missing kid, but not realized it is. How could we? It's not like all of us have a databank that we can see and check up on. Then again, maybe the movie will make you more aware ... if that is possible. Make up your own mind and in the meantime watch this, probably on the edge of your seat - not meant literally, but it does have some situations where that might happen. And while the ending may seem weird, it is in line with the tone of the movie and what it set up right from the beginning if you think about it ...

Saw this movie at the IFFR (International Film Festival Rotterdam). It was a moving story with great performances of the actors (lead and supporting). Highly recommended.

I hate to see Jang geum being abused and almost beaten to death. Contain a lot of violence including to a child. This is decent movie if you are a fan of Lee Yeong ae but seriously I won't bothered if she was not the main character. Disappointing to think she was gone for almost decade in big screen and when she's back she choose to starred on this average film. Jang geum wake up!
