I'm afraid this is a massive disappointment. Not funny, or exciting enough to be watchable. The main cast are unable to bring anything to their performances to overcome the terrible script.
The entire thing feels like a vanity piece for Tom Mason. He may well fantasise about being a cool secret agent, but he can't play one either in a thriller or as a spoof.
Maybe give it a miss

I've watched both episodes and can state that this won't get a second series. I love all types of comedy whether In The Thick Of It type of clever political satire or Airplane style slapstick spoof but this falls short in all aspects. The jokes aren't strong or funny enough to stand up on their own nor is the writing clever enough to make up for it. Will I continue to watch it? Well possibly not as it's a pretty unfunny 30 minutes. The potential for comedy gold in spoofing spy material has been exhausted previously over the years so you'd have to be on top of your writing game to make something worth watching. Alas, whoever wrote the scripts must have had a very lazy Sunday afternoon and knocked out a complete series of poor to non existent jokes and slapstick skits tenuously cobbled together. This is definitely a C-, please try harder.

I only wish I could give a show negative stars.
Comedy? What? Action? What? Here? When?
Dialogs are poorly written, acting is wooden, stiff and totally unbelievable, characters are artificial and unbelievable, totally NOT convincing, classic clishes overdone.... Sorry, I do not find words to describe this waste of material, money and time....
Usually, I love british productions, but this production is so incredibly bad, it is beyond description...
MINUS 10 stars !!!

Just awful. I think they were going for parody, but this show isn't smart enough to make fun of anything. Not funny, badly written, and really awful acting. The ensemble cast sets it up to be a great show, but it's a BIG miss on all points.
Watched both episodes and the only time I laughed was during one of the adverts. Don't think Tom Davis is a leading man, let alone having the two primary roles.
Utter dross. I was hoping for something along the lines of Murder in Successville but this is low budget dick joke rubbish..

OMG. Whoever conceived this piece of televisual offal should have been sacked. ITV have really scraped the bottom of the barrel again! If this is an attempt to breathe life into the spoof spy genre, then ITV has well and truly failed.
Why is it so difficult to produce quality comedy nowadays? The BBC keeps producing shows that tank and remakes of classic sitcoms that end up getting ripped to shreds! ITV is no better. Honestly. Action Team makes the Naked Gun look like Spooks!

No, a guy who can't zip up his pants and doesn't know when he's hanging out is not funny.
No, I didn't make it past the first few minutes.
I enjoy comedy and action, but this was awful.
An absolutely mad show. It's not the best thing I've ever seen and that's alright. It was fun, I enjoyed it. The silliness of it was enough to make me smile. It doesn't need to be analysed, it doesn't need to be picked apart or scrutinised. It is as a bit fun. In my opinion, those who give the show a poor review need to take themselves a bit less seriously.
Where do I start with this utter pile of @?<>.Script was written by a 5 year old.Schoolboy humour at best.Is this the best they can do on a massive budget. Its embarrassing this even got on tv.Doesnt even deserve one star.
I had seen the adverts on bus stops for month's and I was intrigued, it looked a laugh and it didn't disappoint, just so stupid and funny, I didn't see any bad acting, I mean it's comedy at its best to me! Surprised the rating was so low..Will have to read the other reviews now to see what they didn't like..

If I could give less than one star I would. This is seriously bad so don't even bother. Bad acting, cringe worthy 'jokes' and from a country that has some of the best comedic writers on the planet it's just awful

Even with Stephen Campbell Moore and Vicky McClure in the cast the poor scripts ensured this wouldn't appeal to an intelligent audience. Unfunny.
I watched the first episode of this, having been led to believe it was comedy. In the event it was about as funny as falling down a long flight of concrete steps.
How on earth this got commissioned is beyond me. This isn't funny in the least, it's just incredibly stupid. Gave up after 20 minutes of the first dreadful episode. The script is just so awful that I think a 10 year old could have done better. I don't know how they managed to convince the cast that this could be good for their careers. Thankfully I missed this when it was released in 2018, if it did get released then? But seeing only 20 minutes of this show now, makes it the outright winner was the worse thing I've seen this year by a mile. If this is what Tom Davis thinks is funny, then I'll be avoiding his stuff from now on.

Bad... Unfunny...
The only actors in the entire series who are actually doing commendable acting are Jim Howick, Vicki McClure and Tom Riddell.
I'm not quite sure who the series is aimed at but hazarding a guess I would say any adult still possessing schoolyard humour of a boy in grade 5. It is too adult for an actual child but too inane for any adult with any actual taste.
A grudging one star.

A 7 but it does not deserve a 4 overall! I liked this better than King Gary. Yes it's STUPID humour but it's decent. Vicky Mcclure's good in it as well as the whole cast. Yes it's over the top but some scenes are quite funny and the episodes are short and there's never a dull moment. Edit to add..... The characters are supposed to be unbelievable people! Lol! If you liked any of the Austin Powers movies you'll like this.

Those on here complaining about how it's "bad" and "not good" clearly have dookie for comedy sense. This is pure comedy gold. Very few people have touch with true genius, but whomever created this masterpiece is living in a world of it.

I can understand the haters comments in these reviews, however as a huge fan of MINDHORN, I can say if you found that movie funny, you'll love this series. I am sure Americans will find the humour underwhelming and a bit bland for their usual tastes. These people writing that probably hates classic UK TV shows like The Goodies also.
I admit not every gag hits the mark and the script sometimes under-worked.
With those points out of the way I was impressed with the acting, overall production, conceptually it is brilliant, reminded me a lot like Austen Powers mixed with Maxwell Smart and a small dose of Naked Gun; this delivers for me as a light hearted funny comedy show.
Tom Davis is great as Vlad and Logan Mann simultaneously, Action Team is a British Humour CLASSIC which in my view has made it's mark already after just three episodes. This one is destined to be a cult classic, for some people for sure, but not for everyone. 8 out of ten is fair, but I can see it's just going to get better.

Having worked for at least 2 of these agencies - I can say, with absolute certainty, that the sheer Incompetence, Indifference to life and, most importantly, Personal Hygiene - IS, in every single way - UNDERSTATED.
This is a masterpiece (albeit 'fictional') of realism.
I can only conclude that at least one of the creators/writers has experience in the field.
James Bond gets given a Lotus Esprit which he destroys within 20hrs - real life is 15 forms for a packet of staples.
