Having watched the first season several times, I can say this low-budget web series has a real spark in it. This series chugs along with a valiant heart that never stops pumping out the best in its actors. It's quite obvious how much the cast and crew care about this project. The performances of Johnny Aday and J.R. are superb. A true example of how you don't need and bunch of bells and whistles to make a quality show. I say "Keep it up"!
H.ON.E. randomly showed up on my youtube feed today and now I'm hooked! I didn't expect it to grip me as much as it did. Most independent films/series are medicore at best. In my opinion, H.O.N.E. and Love is Blind are the only examples of independent film-making that break the mold. The last fight scene between Sebastian and the gang members made my cousin a bit emotional. I definitely saw him tearing up, no matter how hard he tries to deny it!

I just finished the first series and I must say , it's a rather unique series drenched in depth, character, and colour. With an impressive set of writer(s) and great actors, this series quakes with confidence. It's lovely to see something good coming out of the low budget film scene today. A soaking example of amateur film making at it's best. My husband and I are loving it and J.R. if you're reading this, please make series two!

Showed my kids (15m) (16f) episode 4 "Lights Out" and now they're stoked. Fortin really knows how to construct an epic fight scene. Reminds me a lot of the fights scenes in John Wick. Season 1 was a little short but I appreciate what's been put out so far.
Surprised to see this show only has 9 episodes. I watched it all in one sitting and it's crazy to see how much the characters grow and evolve. A bit hard to find but it's great to see independent webseries that have compitence. The plot is gripping, the characters are wide and move. Would reccomend to those who like Peaky Blinders and

This is fantstic. Just finished the first 9 episodes and it's great! Great directing and cinematography. Sheri Lee and Tyler Hajas' scenes arethe best in my opinion! Very DaVID Lynch-esque! Surprisingly great on such a low budget! I just wish they'd release episodes more frequently.

This is a great show that was recommended to me on YouTube one day. I clicked Yeah and it started playing, and it struck me how much the world exists. You get the sense these people are real and they have their problems and they have their strengths and you really get behind them. I like the small town vibe, i am from a small town in Ohio. Even when you're in the slower scenes you're ready to follow these characters into hell. I mean this show does not pull punches and it doesn't let up when it gets dark and mean. I like that one shot of the dark ocean and the fence that JR stands on, ready to throw himself into the void. It's things like these show that keep me hooked to something, i need that real connection to the characters and i get it. Looking forward to more of what they put out when they put it online.

Youtube is mostly just clickbait and reposts of clickbait at this point, so it's nice to see genuinely talented creators introducing something new to the website. The only reason I gave it a 9/10 is because of some minor (but noticeable) imperfections. Some performances are noticeably better than others (imo the best performances are from Sebastian, Andrew, Angela, Mindy, and Jack) and the lighting leaves something to be desired, but the cast and crew have clearly poured their heart and soul into this project. That's more than can be said about a lot of garbage shows on the internet right now. If this series were to become more popular, I would love to see them reproach this property with a bigger budget. The show is great but there is a lot of untapped potential there.

I was told to start with an episode that was someone's favorite. Based on that episode. Episode 5. I chose to give this review a 6. I enjoyed what the show brought to my eyes. I was hooked while watching and I felt some comedic value in it which is always a way to get me interested. I plan to watch the show in full and will return for a more in depth review!

What did that poor tissue box do to you? I give you credit for attempting something, but this show needs a lot of work to be something Maine can be proud of. Major audio issues, poor acting, and mediocre writing plague this series, making it cringey and cheesy for its intended audience. The emotions of the characters feel forced, unnatural, and sometimes half-assed, preventing the viewer from being pulled into the story. In all honesty, it's an embarrassment for the Maine film community as it stands. Some major improvements are required to increase the quality of this show if it continues to run.

This is one of those shows that makes you laugh, smile, and even get scared. I havene't seen a single review that mentions the theme music, which is really well done. Nice acting and plot arcs, with lots of betrayal and suspense - not just between characters but also the more violent scenes. Those scenes are impressive, you can tell they put tons of work into it planning it out and getting the choreography down.
I think that the plot can be a little rushed at times but that doesnt mean it doesnt grab you by the collar and tell you to keep watching! You wanna follow this thing to the end and see the fates of all the characters. How does this love triangle play out, does that character get whacked? It's all up for grabs and keeps you guessing. Keep it up!

When am I going to get that Ritz sponsorship??? I'm so sick of waiting for them to respond bro. Yeah so it's been like 5 months since I emailed Ritz and Ritz hasn't gotten back to me. I guarantee Ritz ghosted me which is so messed up dude. I saw a box of Ritz in The Prestige and I wanted my own Ritz sponsorship because apparently they just give Ritz sponsorships to any sad loser who wants one. Okay so, the Prestige gets Ritz but I don't (get Ritz)? I just wanna puts my little ham in between that crackers and chomp it up. I needs me a Ritz Sponsorship because I can't afford to buy those (Ritz) because I don't have a job and I live in a paper bag and I spend all my $$$ on magnets (Im building a Ritz machine). Whatever. I'm so done dude. Ritz, send me a message if you wanna give me a Ritz Sponsorship like you did with The prestige. Love those food. I love Ritz. I love Ritz Crackers. I love RiCHRIS DUBEY

This show was a breath of fresh air compared to the other independent projects I've seen within the past few years. Great story telling and characters. The shots are really good. Fortin has stumbled on something truly incredible with Hearts. The performances from the main cast are beyond stellar (yes, sci-fi joke intended :)) and the composition is simply astounding. It's hard to believe this show is made with an independent budget. Does anybody know if we will potentially be getting a Hearts of New England movie at some point? Like a real high budget deal? I would absolutely bring my six 2 year old children to see that thing. It's an interesting blend of comedy and sci-fi that is incredibly satisfying to watch! I'd say the biggest stand-out performances would be Tyler Hajas and Kris Salvi! The show is honestly really charming and I've been watching for a while now! Thank you to the cast and crew! There it's done. I'm finished with that review. Time to go home and eat my ham. It's in the fridge. Might add food to it. Like maybe something Lfun like apples or a salad. I'm tryna be healthier yknow? Eating ham is healthy because it have protine and also vitamins that cure deafness. My friends are coming over bc we just figured out how to hang out so were gonna do that. Cool talking to u guys tho :/
GG.

This show is seriously impressive considering it's modest origin. Definitely worth watching.

The actor that plays Mindy's father is hilarious to watch. It's like watching a fart talk. The show is funny-bad at first, but quickly becomes boring-bad. Don't waste your time. It sucks.
P.S. Tyler Hajas seems nice

Now, don't get me wrong, this show is incredible. It's got a lot of character and I am having fun watching the show! My favorite characters by far are Kyle and Martha! The production quality has significantly improved over the years and the project is very impressive overall. HOWEVER, this show has a suprising lack of Fruitrience. I have yet to see a single character get any fruitrience in the past 4 years and my head/mind screams "Why our friends not eating the Fruitrience?" Could they not afford mangos on set? Banana? Whenever I watch the show, I'm anxiously waiting for a character to ingest Fruitrience and sometimes I get sick to my belly because I'm nervous. Needles to say, I'm not having as much fun watching that show. Could you guys at least send me a video of Sebastian or perhaps Martha eating one apple or perhaps several apples? That would make my life better and more meaningful. Meaning gives my life more beauty. I needs my friends getting Fruitrience or my OCD goes bonanas (no pun intended.) The show is still bunches of fun though (no pun intended.)! I love Scenna. Jimmy is fun, Sebastian is fun, Marcus is fun, Andrew is fun, dan is fun, Martha is fun and Dill is gun. And that's why Hearts of New England is a great show! Thanks so much for having fun reading my thing.

I like this show. It has the touch. The writing is good. This show has a very low budget and cool fight scenes where tough guys punch each other and do kicks. They pour gasoline on J.R.'s head. But he doesn't die because he is a badass and he knows how to kill the people who are part of "Crime World"! I love the music, its like there are band that's playing with good sounds and loud too. Sometime the music makes me scared haha.
I love this show and there only one season, why is that ? give us season two pleae
J.R. fortin i love u when u act. Your hot ;)

As an actor and writer myself I always look for new independent projects and for actors and filmmakers to pay attention to. J.R. Fortin and his team have crafted something truly special. While the technical aspects are not perfect (although I would go as far to say that most first seasons of a show have things they need to improve on) The acting across the board is pretty stellar and the writing is what made it for me. My biggest hope is that I can become part of this show and join in on what Maine Event Films is trying to create. Congratulations to the entire team.
