Stacy Martin was the original choice for the role of Louise. Her name was listed in casting calls for the series between December 2017 and January 5, 2018. Freya Mavor was a last minute replacement and was announced on January 18, 2018, only 11 days before filming started.
In the first episode, the delivery guy asks Vincent what he knows about Lithuania. Gaspard Ulliel played a Lithuanian character, Hannibal Lecter, in Hannibal Rising (2007).
At around the '0:35 mark of episode four, there's a quick scene of a wet and fully bearded Gaspard Ulliel staring at the camera while he's in a river. That same scene was used a year before in the film To the Ends of the World (2018), also directed by Guillaume Nicloux.
