Aenne Burda is listening to the German folk song "Ännchen von Tharau", written by Friedrich Silcher and Simon Dach from the 17th century. It's Aenne Burda's favorite song and she named herself after it.

Goofs
Franz Burda's secretary, mother of his illegitimate daughter, was called Elfriede Breuer, not Evelyn Holler as in the movie; their daughter was called Renate, not Helga. These were clearly changed for this movie for privacy reasons.

Very moving movie

I really appreciated this movie. It shows in a very touching a moving way what a woman has to go through to make it in life, but I think the message also applies to other downtrodden groups. The film offers many lessons about people's treachery and about fulfillment and success in life.
