Exclusive: Hunter Cope has taken to YouTube to dish out The Perfect Parfait, a comedy interview series where he sits down with celebrity guests to enjoy custom-crafted parfaits tailored to each guest’s creative persona.

Blending the traditional talk show format with sketch comedy, culinary flair, and a delightful dash of chaos, The Perfect Parfait is described as Hot Ones meets Between Two Ferns. The show kicks off today with guest Dave Franco, and will also soon feature appearances from the likes of Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Paul Walter Hauser, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Christian A. Pierce (The Real Bros of Simi Valley), Sydney Heller & Olivia DeLaurentis (Smosh: The Sitcom Live), and Tim Heidecker.

Exclusive: Oscar-winning company Caviar has rounded out the cast of Joey Power’s romantic comedy, Love Language with Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live), comedian and podcaster Bobbi Althoff (The Really Good Podcast), Morgan Jay (St. Denis Medical), Stephen Schneider (Broad City), Dan Perrault (American Vandal), Zach Zucker (Sweethearts), Christian Pierce (The Real Bros of Simi Valley) Marchánt Davis (Reality), and Daniel David Stewart (For All Mankind) rounding out the cast.

They join previously-announced Chloë Grace Moretz, Anthony Ramos, Manny Jacinto, Isabel May, Lukas Gage, and Billie Lourd in the production, which is currently shooting in Chicago, Illinois.

Plot details are under wraps. The movie is produced by Bert Hamelinck and Allison Hironaka for Caviar, Colin Jost and Jeff Grosvenor for No Notes Productions and Ari Lubet for 3 Arts Entertainment. EPs are Michael Sagol of Caviar and Tyson Bidner. Caviar has also arranged the financing of the production. CAA Media Finance is repping the U.

Michelle Randolph and Jacob Lofland have joined Billy Bob Thornton in the upcoming Taylor Sheridan series “Land Man” at Paramount+, Variety has learned. In addition, Variety has learned exclusively that Ali Larter will star in the series as well.

Per the official logline, the series “is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.” It is based on the podcast “Boomtown.”

Randolph will star as Ainsley Norris, described as “the wild and strong-willed seventeen-year-old daughter of Tommy Norris (Thornton).” Lofland will play Cooper Norris, “Tommy’s son, who is new to the demanding work in the oil and gas fields of west Texas.” Larter will play Angela, Tommy’s ex-wife.

Vertical Entertainment has obtained worldwide distribution rights to indie horror, The Resort, from writer-director Taylor Chien and executive produced by rapper Quavious “Quavo” Marshall of the Migos. Starring Bianca Haase (Hot Tub Time Machine 2), Brock O’Hurn (Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween), Michael Vlamis, and Michelle Randolph (5 Years Apart), the plot centers on four friends who head to Hawaii to investigate reports of a haunting at an abandoned resort. It’s beautiful there, but they soon learn you have to be careful what you wish for. The pic, which will be released theatrically and on-demand on April 30, was produced by Will Meldman, Sam Mobley, Justin Chien, Chien, Gary Goldman, Joe Homokay, James Penland, and Sarai Rollins.

5 Years Apart is, at times, a laugh-out-loud funny look at two brothers born on the same day, you guessed it, five years apart. But due to miscommunication and a host of other issues, the two are estranged until they both show up at their parent's house to celebrate their birthdays, unaware the other will be there.

Exclusive: Archstone Entertainment and Gravitas Ventures are partnering on Brotherhood Studios and Slater Brothers Entertainment’s Last Three Days starring Walking Dead: World Beyond‘s Robert Palmer Watkins, Deadline has learned.

Pic, which Gravitas will release stateside later this year, and Archstone is introducing to foreign buyers next week at the virtual Cannes market, follows an undercover cop who gets mixed up in a dangerous crime syndicate. Exclusive: Producers Ryland Aldrich and Adam Maffei have set their next movie, A Hard Problem, which will mark the feature directorial debut of duo hazart (pictured above).

Aldrich’s productions It Happened in L.A. and Folk Hero & Funny Guy respectively made their world premieres at Sundance and the Tribeca Film Festival.

Maffei is a writer, director and producer on Disney Channel’s Disney Quizney. He recently produced the Chloe Bennet comedy drama 5 Years Apart, which Aldrich was a consulting producer.
