If you are a fan of amateur horror movies (no pun intended), you might find more to like here than most did. The idea and placing everyone in one location is quite nicely done. You have to suspend your disbelief a lot though ... acting wise this is as flawed as is the CGI that you are being served.
The story is ok, again not that you will think about it much. And there is a decent little twist at the end. Even though it almost loses any effect by the way it is handled by the actors ... not really good, but I've seen worse.

One of the worst out there...
3 stars just cause the idea was pretty neat, execution sucked...
Acting atrocious, effects terrible...In the hands of better crew with bigger budget,
could have been pretty decent...

This film fails on the directing, cinematography, editing, script, story, lighting, fx and acting. It's the most inane film I've ever unfortunately watched.
This film is obviously a first for all depts mentioned above.
Some films are not worthy of the name.. this film should be deleted from all archives, so that another film can be made and hopefully live up to the name "Pentagram".
Lol.

Possibly the worste film, of any genre I've ever seen. A 5 year old could have worked the camera better. Z list actors. Zero plot. Yes I understand everyone's got to make a living but post covid Macdonald's really needs you guys now.!!!

As this film opens a group of four people are sitting in a diner somewhere in rural America. They are on their way across the country to Los Angeles, the trip is funded by robbing establishments such as the one they are in. Having stuck up the place they flee but the waitress puts a bullet in their car's radiator so they don't get far. Broken down they walk to a lonely nearby house. Inside one goes upstairs and finds a man in a pentagram, which is drawn on the floor. Once she enters the pentagram a strange marking appears on her arm. He tells her that the only way out is a human sacrifice who must be killed within the symbol. If anybody steps outside or the candles at any of the five points go out a demon will take them. The other three are soon on the scene and it becomes clear the man was telling the truth. Will they figure a way to get out or will they die in the room? Inevitably tensions fray as the candles burn lower and lower.
This is very much a low budget film; most of it takes place in a small circle in a small unfurnished room. There aren't many special effects and what there are aren't exactly great. The plot is fun, if you can get past the coincidence of our four leads going to that house while somebody is in the middle of a demonic ritual. That said, despite the film's flaws I found it fairly tense. The acting might not be the greatest but it was good enough for this sort of film; I've certainly seen much worse. The resolution is reasonably predictable but none the worse for that. Overall I don't think this is half as bad as its IMDb rating suggests. I'd recommend it to fans of low budget horror; if you don't enjoy it you'll only have wasted eighty minutes.

A group of teens ( in their early 30's) ham act their way into trouble by being rubbish actors, I've seen burger king ad's with better acting save us from rubbish horror films.

When the CGI came up I actually laughed then realised this isn't a spoof. Must be desperate to want to "act" in this film.

Well it's currently on netflix and i've watched everything else so I went for this, it was recommended to me.
To begin with you could tell it was low budget movie but I have watched plenty of horrors with no budget so I do not hold that against it.
The script is awful, the actual plot required better writing to be good, but there was nothing, apart from some plot holes but who cares when it's so bad.
There's nothing scary about this, no atmosphere, no tension, no creepiness, nothing.
I guess you could call it a horror due to having a pentagram on the floor, and reusing the exact same animation of a demon twice, but that's an insult to the horror genre.
Honestly, I love horror movies and even some bad ones, but this is so below being bad, it has no redeeming features, not one.

The most entertaining thing about this movie is watching 30-something British people pretending to be American teenagers. Otherwise it's just 4 unengaging idiots messing aimlessly about. What if the sactifice scene from "the convent" was played straight and stretched out into an entire movie? The demon effects are lame, the plotholes are enormous, and none of these smartphone owning "teenagers" ever think of googling anything. A giant waste of time and dignity.

I read some of the reviews for this movie before watching and saw that the ratings were low and nobody had anything good to say about the movie but thought to myself surely it can't be that bad, but it really was and I have watched some bad horror movies but this took the cake, it wasn't even bad in a good way like some horrors are it was just bland and boring and a waste of time. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone.

Pentagram: Four young tearaways rob a cafe but the hillbilly waitress puts a bullet through their car's radiator. They find a derelict house in the woods but there's a guy there, trapped in a Pentagram. Soon they are the ones trapped within it. Some interesting aspects of a Ritual and the gang struggle to escape but have their own differences. This might have worked better as a Twilight Zone episode or a section of an anthology film. It's too drawn out and the effects are a bit cheesy but the acting is not bad. Just about worth watching. Directed/Co-written by Steve Lawson. On Netflix. 5/10.
Ok, the movie is not very good but its concept is : in a strange house, four loosers have to stay in a pentagram drawn with chalk or a demon slaughter them. Woaw ! What are they going to do, for Christ sake ? Use their clothes for taking candles, of course ! Thanks Netflix.

Its attempts at horror are hilarious. It's really funny ngl kinda wish I could watch it for the first time again. As long as you go in expecting nothing you will have the time of your life. I heavily suggest watching with a friend or someone else, if you do watch it alone it'll probably get boring. One of the main characters is a cracked out Billie Eilish dupe and the others are just annoying. The southern diner waitress is really hot but after re-watching the movie I really got to hear how bad her accent was. The monster is like an alien and is green for some reason? Like i still don't understand why they chose a crappy cgi green alien over some like invisible paranormal thing that just moved stuff around.
