The film is set to the 1950's but the Bob Morane graphic novel "Hirmuliskojen temppeli" which Pikku-Pertti reads was printed in 1980. The original French story "Le temple des dinosaures" was serialised in a magazine in 1975 and later published as a book in 1977.
