If you were expecting something along the lines of state property, paid in full , Belly etc.. This is not even on the same radar. this is an embarrassment of a "movie" Im also really surpised Yeezy co-signed this mess. like someone previous stated, there are hip hop music videos that have more depth, plot, acting. Oh and, expect to hear the phrase "honor up" in just about every other sentence. SMFH

Waaaaay too much narrating. The story was all over the place. This was just a bunch of shooting and poorly improvised lines. Yo, Dame! The next time you make a film, "Honor Up" and care what you present to the people that support you. I only gave this 2 stars instead of one because it didn't look like it was shot with the home video camera we bought my father in the 90's.
Damon dash trys so hard to convince us that him and his mates are cool ,but it just doesnt come across on film .the man is delusional at best

Dame lives under the delusion that just because you have access to a camera, movie lights, actors and editing software that you have creative talent and should make a movie.....WRONG!!! The story, acting, dialogue and direction is just awful. Dash preachs how having good product will make you a success, will clearly his successful days are behind him cuz this movie is absolute garbage. Bless his bald-headed soul for trying lol!

This movie is extremely boring. Watched it once fell asleep midway through watched it again and it was a boring story line, acting was sub par. Dame dash constantly tries to recreate his 2 years of selling drugs and he's 50. Take yourself and your hussling buddies out of the movie and get younger people to play the roles it makes it more realistic people with grey mustaches and beards talking about selling crack.,Take yourself more out of the movie. Paid in full was great because you didn't narrate it and it wasn't your story nor did you play any major role in the movie your life story of 2 years of selling drugs is boring and this depicts it. This movie was pure trash.

Damon Trash!!! Do yourself a favour and forget this excuse for a movie exists
Without a doubt this has to be the best thuglife, gangsta movie I have ever seen with an primarely black American cast. If this does't become the Oscar grabbing movie for the best actor, best screenplay, best score, best director, best music, best e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g in the 2019 Academy Awards... then I don't what else does.
This is a 9 out of 10. I Wanted to give it a 10 out of 10 if that Tara character was not played by a white actress. U no waad M sain?

I normally don't write reviews or do anything of that sort but I felt this was needed. I consider myself a major fan of black cinema. I have watched everything from the lowest of low budget black movies (some of which are absolutely unwatchable) to the blockbusters and movies that everyone loves. I honestly feel like all these reviews do not do this movie justice. Now of course this isn't like a Paid in full or one of those movies with a massive budget but with the budget they had to work with i think they did a wonderful job. Yes the movie has its flaws and some things could have been done better and the old trope of the black drug dealers coming up in the hood is very cliche and played out but watching this movie, subjectively for what it is, i liked it and thought it was solid. I believe that people who genuinely don't like dame or are biased towards him kind of watched this movie with that bias is mind and caused them to have negative reviews. The cinematography was surprisingly Good and the plot was solid. Give this movie a watch for yourself and don't pass it off because of the negative reviews.
She should be on suicide watch right now. Fired from FOX News as the black and Mexican token women, to a FAILED run for a office, to this shiat show

You are in for a treat
Disappointing is too kind a description.
Someone is on a delusional ego trip with no idea about real life and struggles Wonder where I get merchandise for this honour UP ?
Its pretty bland, somewhat boring and doesn't go anywhere particularly interesting.
Its almost like they were aiming for middle of the road and took a wrong turn.
This is meant to be a tough street gangster film...there should be plenty of opportunity to provide some quality drama but they never seize the moment.

What was the Budget on this?, and what was the Gross?.
Why did i give this crap the lowest possible rating - which is still one goldstar too much: This film is produced by Kayne West
That is not a spoiler. You can notice before you make the mistake of watching it.
No, i am writing the name wrong on purpose. He is too irrelevant to remember, for anything other than being married to a two-legged hippo whose only claim to fame is her self-leaked pissporn.

I was going to buy this movie to support indie filmmaking but saw it free on YouTube. Dame's story telling is poor. He hasn't grasped the concept of show don't tell. He narrated every second of the movie. I like a good movie about gangsters but this movie had nothing but gratuitous violence. No plot. No story. Every second someone was pulling out a gun and killing someone and most times I couldn't figure out why. I could only watch 30 minutes of the movie because I could not figure out who the protagonist in the movie was. There was no one to root for because the entire movie had nothing but antagonists. The best I can say is at least he was able to make another movie

First off, I admire Dame Dash. His honesty is a breath of fresh air. He has the mind of a genius. This film had the potential to be a classic. The only reason I'm doing a review...I would hope Dame will see this and apply it to future films. first, the movie should have cast younger actors. Men in their late 40's were not "right" for their roles. Maybe later in the film, using older characters would have been more convincing. Second, the commentary throughout the entire movie was overbearing to say the least. A well written script would not have required play by play commentary throughout the entire film. I felt like I was watching a pro football game,,,the commentator (dame) was explaining every scene. A more detailed script would have reduced commentary significantly. Thirdly, Waaaaaay too many shoot'em up scenes. Shooting scenes seemed like space fillers to make up for a lack of content. Film quality was good...Film quality carried the characteristics of a bigger budget film. In closing, the film had the potential to be a 7, possibly a "hood classic". But it missed the mark. Good luck on the next one Dame, I watch all your videos and consider all the advice you offer. You spread the knowledge and the love. Much respect!

This Damon Trash is a narcissist, he's trying glorify his brief drug dealing days. He's really a square like more like will smith & hes trying to let the world know he was about that life but really wasn't. I'm saying this cuz I grew up the same way. I had craziest friends with guns and had my own. But now that I'm in my forties, I'm embarrassed about that mindset, Dame is proud of knowing killas etc. I rather know nerds as friends instead of these guys he's so fond of. But not knocking his Harlem friends cuz they're human too that's trying to make it in life. But this movie has more shootouts than actual dialogue & ever few seconds he's got some foreign opera type songs playing & then rap songs. It's like he's trying too hard to appeal the white folks and black folks at the same time smh!

I think there was a different movie in mind in the beginning of the film but as the story line progressed everything began to fall in to place.
