This eleven-minute featurette with director Val Guest was produced in 2004 but it didn't get released until 2014, nearly eight years after the director's death. This featurette takes a look at the making of of THE QUATERMASS XPERIMENT from the pre-release to the film's release. Everything in between is covered from the screenplay to the casting to the special effects and score. Guest seems quite clear that he created a masterpiece here and he's obviously rather proud to be discussing the film and who could blame him? We're given a lot of great stories about the producer, how Hammer would never give additional money and there's no doubt that the entire production is discussed in a fun way. Fans of the film will certainly want to check this out.
