This episode was mainly edited from the original unaired pilot of the series, which was shot in 1976. Therefore, it is the only episode in the series in which Bassie and Adriaan get fired without any involvement of the Boogeyman. The few scenes referring to him were added later, after it was decided that the show should have a villain.
