This is definitely not for everyone. You have to find an appreciation in bad movies to enjoy this. Personally, the mindset I take as I go into these kinds of movies is something like this:
"For the next hour and a half, I get to shut off my brain, forget everything and COMPLETELY suspend disbelief."
Then it's a jolly good time!
First things first: even through a dark and gritty warehouse, Sara Malakul Lane is simply a ray of sunshine. She's such a rare beauty; the kind where she has her own cachet and no one looks like her.
There are some nice ideas of intensely cruel acts (such as a full eye-gouging and removal scene) but it's not executed very well. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have its high moments and that the faint of heart won't squirmish profusely through this flick.
I actually like the industrial/punk music which plays throughout the movie even though it doesn't really fit, but the songs sound good.
The movie gets an extra 2 stars from me due to the fact that Dave Mustaine (singer of Megadeth) voices the psycho and you can hear him for 3/4 of the movie. His voice will carry you for the incoherent times.
Overall, a fun horror flick! If you like slasher horror, you've absolutely seen everything there is to see in this movie but it was better executed. It's Texas Chainsaw Massacre meets Saw meets Sinful Dwarf meets Halloween. BUT... Sara Malakul Lane!
