The background music during Daddy Derek's workout is "Cool Cat Loves to Rock," a song that Cool Cat writes later in the movie.
Cool Cat's T-Shirt keeps changing in color and style during the entire movie, e.g. when he goes to sleep he is wearing a green shirt but wakes up in a blue one. And earlier he wakes up in a white shirt but in the next shot he wears a blue one.
When Cool Cat comes down after doing "Cool Cat Loves To Rock" the living room looks completely different from the living room when Maria visited him.
When Cool Cat is talking to Daddy Derek about recording his new songs his hands are empty since he let his paint brush and palette down. In the next shot both of them are back in his hands.
Despite the fact that many of the original actors were used in this movie it is clearly visible that the new and old footage was used to make it look like one complete movie. It is clearly visible that when Maria is making fun of Butch she is older then in the next shot when she is talking to Cool Cat.
In the opening scene Cool Cat is painting a picture. However it is clearly visible that it is already painted and ready. Cool Cat's paintbrush doesn't change anything on the picture.
The story suppose to take place at the same day but while there is a Christmas tree in several shots of the living room in Cool Cat's house, which would fit the time around the Christmas Parade, but when Cool Cat and Derek are riding the motorcycles there is Halloween decoration visible in some yards. This indicates that the footage was shot at different times.
Cool Cat's lines about having fun on beautiful days when entering Derek's car is exactly the same that was also used in the exercise scene.
For the entire film, Cool Cat is voiced by Jason Johnson, but when he sings his "Rap Master" song, it's obvious he's being voiced by someone else (Derek Savage, to be exact). However all Cool Cat songs in this movie were performed by other people rather than by Jason Johnson. It is also mentioned in the credits.
It's unrealistic that every kid in this movie would be obsessed with playing in sandboxes, when all of them look like they're preteens or older.
After recording "Cool Cat Rap Master", when Cool Cat and Derek are talking there is a clapper board seeing in the background. Since it says "Cool Cat" on it, it doesn't seem to be like the set decor but rather as actual movie equipment.
When Cool Cat is painting a picture near his house, there is a crew member visible in the window mirror.
Despite Maria and Cool Cat said earlier that bullying is bad and it shouldn't be done she is later seen bullying Butch by making fun of him that he is not invited to the house of Vivica A. Fox.
Maria tells Butch that Cool Cat is going to be in the Hollywood parade. However in the movie it happened earlier.
Despide this being a kids safety film, Derek and Cool Cat ride their motorcycle without any safety equipment, e.g. helmets etc.
When talking on the phone to Maria Cool Cat says that he has so much to do. A second after he hangs up he says that he better finds something to do before he gets bored. Considering that he mentioned that he has so many things to do for the parade, this line makes no sense.
After Butch gets foiled, he runs down the street before stopping and saying, "That darn Vivica Fox and Erik Estrada messed it up." However, he was frightened off by Cool Cat and Maria yelling at him - Fox and Estrada had nothing to do with it.
