During the chase scene where Robert is being pursued by the Figure in his truck, the heat index was 105 degrees. Ethan Williams (Robert) and Stephen Royal Phillips (the Figure) braved the heat and wore coats and jeans for the scene.
All of the actors performed their own stunts, choreographed by Christian Brunetti, who also played Magnus.
The cricket that is seen in the trailer and opening scene of the film was not scripted. It landed on director Jack VanderToll's head and wouldn't fly away, so it was incorporated in to the final film.
