Approaching their first Holiday without their mother alive, two teenage girls (one who negotiates their loss; the second, filled with anger) must navigate their avoidant-widow father out of his den of denial and back into their hearts.
Widowed John, deep in grief, has a strained relationship with his 2 daughters. Amber, full of despair, is angry at him; he is clueless as to why. Emily, full of hope, nags him to be a better father; he is not ready nor willing to come out of shock. What will push this avoidant man to be the father his daughters desperately need to prove that: "After death, life flows on."
