One-time leading femme auteur on the Brit Porn scene, Anna Span offered to sponsor a first-time female director with a contest judging Adult vignettes, and Katie Coxxx was the winner, her short released on Anna's video "Women Love Porn". The promised feature for Coxxx is "Apocalypse Angels", a very lousy offering duly released on "Women Love Porn No. 2".
It's styled as a post-apocalypse sci-fi movie, but Katie's refusal to have a workable script or even the trappings of a story reduce it to a dull all-sex junker. A pair of scruffy femmes seek assistance in finding the whereabouts of a bomb they must defuse, and hump all the guys along the way, leading to perhaps the dullest and cheapest save-the-day bomb defusing climax ever set to celluloid.
The grubby practical sets, unintelligible muttered snatches of dialog (with thick local accents) and generally unattractive cast sink this project like a stone. It even looks and plays worse than the average New Jersey backyard horror video cranked out (by the thousands) by untalented amateurs during the same early 21st Century time frame.
Some IR content is provided by familiar actresses Sahara Knite and Leah Jaye, but local superstar Poppy Morgan is wasted. On the basis of this loser I don't believe we'll be hearing from Coxxx again.
