This article contains spoilers for "Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2.
Saying that Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) doesn't like his former sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) is an understatement. Ever since Kreese joined "Cobra Kai" in the season 1 finale, "Mercy," he's acted as Johnny's personal bogeyman and aspiring corruptor -- a fitting role for the old man, whose training and torment ended up affecting Johnny's life so adversely. The two have thrown hands before, and in the final episode of "Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2, titled "Eunjangdo," things seem to be going that way once more.
During the great Sekai Taikai brawl that ends the episode, a furious Kreese heads after Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) with murder in his eyes. Johnny spots his old master and gives chase, but when he sees that Kreese is on the ropes, he switches targets on the fly and attacks Silver instead. The whole Kreese-Silver fight...

Beyond the action, the horrendously poorly portrayed rules of karate, and the memorable quotes and characters, the "Karate Kid" franchise has always had time for romance. From the very start, this franchise has been built on unlikely romances, whether it's Ralph Macchio's scrawny new kid Daniel Larusso going after rich, popular girl Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue) in the first film or immediately leaving Ali for a summer romance during a trip to Japan with Kumiko in "The Karate Kid Part II."
Likewise, the legacy sequel TV series "Cobra Kai" has romance built into its DNA. The show —— which is the closest to a full-on live-action sports anime and is set in a world of heightened stakes where everything revolves around karate — has explored romances for both the many new kids on the block and their senseis — with Johnny Lawrence's arc from jerk to a legit good partner being a highlight of the series.

This article contains spoilers for "Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2.
For a show that has spent years establishing the martial arts prowess of its central cast, "Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2 is not kind to a number of established karate masters. Most younger characters spend their time in complex and often embarrassing Sekai Taikai tag battles that require heavy teamwork, which locks champion fighters like Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) out of chances to shine individually.
The adults don't have it any easier. Favorites like Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) lack their customary conclusive fight scenes, and instead spend their time brawling with kidnappers and struggling against fearsome foes. Meanwhile, noted powerhouses Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto) and Kim Da-Eun (Alicia Hannah-Kim) are distracted by an unexpected but entertaining martial arts-themed courtship ritual. Even the potentially amazing confrontation between major villains Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) and John Kreese (Martin Kove...

While most ordinary TV shows aren't too interested in introducing new characters into the mix at all when they reach their final season, let alone feature one who becomes a breakout best character, "Cobra Kai" is no ordinary TV show. Currently, the show's sixth and final season just bowed its second of three parts, and it's become apparent that the villainess Zara Malik is arguably the final season's best new character. A student from the Iron Dragons participating in the Sekai Taikai tournament, Zara is a mysterious girl who lets her beauty, popularity, and especially her fists do the talking for her. As "Cobra Kai" wraps up its various storylines before the final episodes drop on February 13 of next year, Zara could turn out to be a pretty dangerous and dramatic wild card.
What's even more exciting than that is the accomplishments and potential of the actress behind Zara: Rayna Vallandingham.

You’ve heard this story before. In 1984, a kid from New Jersey and a California karate champion met on a beach in the San Fernando Valley. They fought. They challenged each other. And, eventually, the infamous crane kick happened. “The Karate Kid” galvanized audiences when it first came out. Three decades later, “Cobra Kai” subverted the franchise’s traditional narrative by transforming the bad boy of karate, Johnny Lawerence (William Zabka), into a Mr. Miyagi figure. The series, which first premiered in 2018, begins 34 years after the original “Karate Kid” and introduces Johnny as a dead-beat father still reeling from his defeat in the All Valley Karate Championship. When he meets Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña), an immigrant teenager being harassed at school, Johnny reopens the infamous Cobra Kai dojo. The two form an inseparable father-son bond that has evolved through six seasons of the hit Netflix dramedy.

"Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2 confirms that Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) is the "Karate Kid" franchise's biggest villain. After avoiding jail time for his previous misdemeanors, Silver's out to get revenge against Miyagi-Do and John Kreese (Martin Kove) for their role in his downfall -- and he's brought back some blasts from the past. Still, don't expect Snake (Jonathan Avildsen), one of Silver's henchmen in "The Karate Kid Part III," to participate in his reign of terror. The season 6 episode "Blood In Blood Out" quietly confirms that Snake's dead, and Silver ought to learn a lesson from his passing.

It was an honor to finally talk to Ralph Macchio and William Zabka from Netflix’s “Cobra Kai.” The series is a fitting homage to “Karate Kid” and I have been a fan since the first film opened in 1984. I told both actors that I even saw the original movie in the Philippines when I

Memorably aggressive as he is, the South Korean Cobra Kai dojo's golden boy Kwon Jae-Sung (Brandon H. Lee) has turned out to be a short-lived antagonist ... literally. In the final episode of "Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2, titled "Eunjangdo," Kwon is one of the most enthusiastic participants in the all-out brawl started by the disqualified Russian Sekai Taikai team, and manages to fight just about every prominent character of the new generation in the span of mere minutes.
However, his mobile, spin-heavy style eventually meets its match in the season's resident Ivan Drago expy, Axel Kovačević (Patrick Luwis). Bloodied and frustrated, Kwon grabs John Kreese's (Martin Kove) fallen Eunjangdo blade that gives the episode its name and performs his final, acrobatic flying attack -- only for Axel to handily counter it. There's good news and bad news for Cobra Kai fans as no season 7 is set to happen. But, Cobra Kai season 6 part 3 promises to be a blast!
When do the final episodes of Cobra Kai come out?
As noted, the show sadly is not getting a seventh season, with the producers believing that six seasons is enough for the story. When the sixth season was renewed back in January 2023, Netflix announced it would be the final season. The 15-episode season was split into three parts, and we can expect the conclusion soon in 2025.
For those wondering, the final five episodes will drop on Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025. They're expected to bring the story to a major close, with producer Hayden Schlossberg offering a nice comparison to a famous movie trilogy in speaking with Entertainment Weekly.

Serendipity seems to follow Ralph Macchio — and it most recently took him to Australia.
In October, Coldplay released the song “The Karate Kid,” and it’s exactly what you think it’s about, down to the lyrics about “Daniel.” That, of course, is the name of the lead character played by Macchio in three “The Karate Kid” movies and six seasons of Netflix’s “Cobra Kai.” After Macchio heard the tune, he shared it on social media — and that’s when Coldplay concocted a plan. Frontman Chris Martin asked Macchio to come to Australia, where they were playing a series of dates, and film the music video. The ruse included bringing the actor on stage to help perform “The Karate Kid.”
“It was just one of those whirlwind things,” says Macchio, who just returned from Down Under. “It’s just a beautiful track. It blew my mind that he wrote the song,...

It’s hard to believe, but The Karate Kid franchise is over forty years old. Despite this fact, the franchise seems to be stronger than ever, with a new movie in the saga, Karate Kid: Legends, due out in 2025. But, before that, the series which kick-started the franchise’s return to the zeitgeist, Cobra Kai, is starting to wrap up its run on Netflix with a super-sized sixth season. The second part of the three-part season made its debut Friday (read our review here), as Sensei Daniel (Ralph Macchio), Johnny (William Zabka) and students of Miyagi-Do head to the Sekai Taikai in Barcelona to take on their arch-enemies, the students of Cobra Kai, and their sensei Kreese.
Recently, we had the chance to sit down with Ralph Macchio and William Zabka to discuss the amazing legacy the franchise has left behind and why it’s endured for over four decades.

Cobra Kai Season 6: Who Dies in the Part 2 Finale? Shocking Death Explained - Main Image
The recently aired second part of Cobra Kai season 6 ended with a shocking death that will shake up the show's last five episodes set to come out early next year.
The tension was even higher during the recent batch of episodes as it explored Miyagi-Do's journey in the Sekai Takai competition. Unfortunately, it all ended with a shocking twisted moment that the series had never done before.
Who Dies in Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 Finale?
The final match in Sekai Takai ended with an all-out brawl that was commenced by the Udar Tigra dojo, which was eliminated when four of its students tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.
An intense fight happened between all the students, senseis, and the judges of the competition. During the brawl, Kreese lost his eunjangdo which he originally intended to kill Terry Silver.

The second half of Cobra Kai‘s sixth season brought plenty of emotions, but not all of them landed well with fans. The idea of bringing Mr. Miyagi back for a cameo seemed like a great move — not just for the story, but for the fans too. However, since the actor has passed away, they had to turn to technology to make it happen.

The AI, however, didn’t hit the mark. The fake image didn’t sit well with fans, who took to social media to share their disappointment. While it seems the character’s return was carefully discussed and planned to honor the late Pat Morita’s legacy, the final result told a different story.

From its opening frame, Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 2, establishes two things — the tension will be high, and the stakes even higher.
Confident, capable young fighters gathering for combat will generate some hostility, of course, but the newest batch of episodes concludes on a tragedy sure to leave viewers in a state of shock — just as it does the characters on-screen.
But before we plunge into that ending, let’s briefly revisit how we got there, starting with a monumental tournament that sets the tone — the Sekai Taikai.
It’s “the most prestigious karate tournament in modern martial arts history,” Demetri (Gianni DeCenzo) explains in Season 6, Episode 1. “For over a century, fighters from across the globe have gathered every two years to compete for the title of world’s best.”

This article contains spoilers for the "Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2 finale, "Eunjangdo."
Netflix's "Cobra Kai" has done a commendable job at expanding and updating the story told by "The Karate Kid" movies, but it has always dealt with one key issue. The central figure of the franchise, Mr. Miyagi from "The Karate Kid," has only been present in spirit since Pat Morita passed away in 2005.
"Cobra Kai" has gotten around this by having Miyagi's student and successor Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) put his old teacher and friend on a pedestal ... but with "Cobra Kai" season 6 part 2 finally revealing Miyagi's big, dark secret, that pedestal is quite thoroughly broken now. Daniel learns in the episode "Blood in Blood Out" that the venerable karate master once killed a man during a match. In the very next episode, "Eunjangdo," we actually see Miyagi on the screen once again, courtesy of AI. In an interview with TV Line,...

[This story contains major spoilers from Part 2 of Cobra Kai‘s final season.]
When Cobra Kai released the first part of its sixth and final season in July, viewers of Netflix’s hit karate series were left with their favorite new team, Miyagi-Do, getting ready to face off with one of their greatest foes at the international Sekai Taikai Tournament in Barcelona, Spain: the revamped Cobra Kai, led by their nemesis and former brutal sensei John Kreese (played by Martin Kove). And to add insult to injury, one of Miyagi-Do’s star teammates, Tory Nichols (Peyton List), defected from the Danny Larusso and Johnny Lawrence (Ralph Macchio and William Zabka) joint martial arts school to join Kreese’s no-mercy team of fighters.
But if these two rival karate schools thought they could take their aggressions out on each other in an international tournament, surely they don’t know this series. A bigger and more sinister martial arts team would prove to be even...

Spoiler Alert: The story below reveals major plot points from Netflix’s Cobra Kai, Season 6, Part 2
Netflix’s Cobra Kai returned with Season 6’s second batch of episodes, full of action on and off the mats.
In one of the most surprising couplings the series has seen, co-creators Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg creatively saw what most of us never did. Two people who passionately love their jobs and are devoted in such a way that neither has settled down. Their students are their children in that they put all their efforts into teaching them a way of life so they can be the best at what they do.
When I saw this unlikely duo share their first kiss, I wanted to turn my TV off and burn it all down. They are from opposing teams and their connection could complicate issues that are already massively dangerously intertwined...

[Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers about Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2.] There’s still a lot to of dangling threads to weave together before the end of Cobra Kai. The Sekai Taikai has officially turned into an international disaster — and a deadly one at that. Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) is questioning everything he knew about Mr. Miyagi, whose legacy has always loomed so large for his life. And Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) has surprisingly stepped into the fray to protect his own former sensei slash father figure — a far less benevolent one, of course — by stopping Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) from outright killing John Kreese (Martin Kove) in the middle of the melee. Plus, Robby (Tanner Buchanan) and Tory (Peyton List) need to work through their emotional strains, and Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) has to adjust to being a big brother as they’re all (hopefully) college-bound. With so many plot points in play, fans of the...

Despite all the odds, Terry Silver is back.
The midpoint of “Cobra Kai” Season 6 Part 2 revealed that – surprise! – Terry Silver was back to ruin the lives of Daniel (Ralph Macchio), Johnny (William Zabka) and Kreese (Martin Kove) during the Sekai Taikai tournament. After losing everything and being arrested back in “Cobra Kai” Season 5, Thomas Ian Griffith told TheWrap that Terry’s second return to this karate world is much more dangerous.
“He is so committed to what he believes as a martial artist and that whole philosophy,” Griffith said. “I think when that scaffolding is taken away he has nothing to grab on to. So you’re watching someone who is dangerous now. He has nothing to lose. He’s coming back having lost his studio, having lost his respect – which is probably the most important thing to him.”

Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 2
In what will be no doubt the biggest spoiler of the entire Cobra Kai series, co-creators Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg managed to do the impossible.
In the final episode of the Netflix series’ sixth season, part 2, the trio—and some of the latest technology available today—resurrected Mr. Miyagi.
The sixth and final season of the hit martial arts dramedy has focused largely on the mystery past hidden away by the legendary Nariyoshi Keisuke Miyagi. It was revealed he was responsible for the death of a competitor at a Sekai Taikai competition when he was a younger man.
Learning this history wrecks Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) and will take him time to process. He finds it impossible to reconcile the man he admired with this stranger who did something unforgivable. Are they one and the same?...

Netflix’s much-loved martial arts drama series, Cobra Kai, has returned with the second part of its sixth and final season with a new set of six episodes, and the series did something pretty unthinkable for such a wholesome, lighthearted narrative. Sure, Cobra Kai had adopted a dark tone in the past with Miguel’s accident, Terry Silver’s assault on Stingray, and Tory’s attack on Sam—but none of it compares to the shocking ending of the recently released second part of the final season, where a series of unfortunate events leads to the death of Cobra Kai captain, Kwon. A sense of foreboding was already hovering around the final season, with hints about Mr. Miyagi’s dark past rattling Daniel’s perspective in more ways than one, but the ending to the second part changes things in a massive way, which will put the teenage brawlers and...

Netflix’s middle ground, in both continuing the binge model and also dividing a season into chunks, is successful for a show like Arcane, primarily because the gap spans a couple of days to a week. In the case of Cobra Kai, the decision to break the final “super-sized season” into three chunks of five episodes each, but spanning a gap of four to two months between each installment, is playing with fire, especially regarding whether the show could actually sustain a fanbase like this. Thankfully though, this chunk of episodes of Cobra Kai (Season 6) Part 2 is highly impactful, with the last episode almost working as a mini-season finale.

The final season of Cobra Kai is currently underway as its second part released on November 15. The karate kids will be competing in the Sekai Takai tournament with stakes at an all-time high. However, the latest episode seems to have many twists and turns in place, with a major character’s death twisting the tides for the show.
Kwon, the newest member of Cobra Kai, accidentally stabs himself at the Sekai Takai tournament during an all-out brawl between the dojos. The emotional moment is punched up by the knife he stabs himself with Sensei Kreese’s eunjangdo knife that he was going to use on Terry Silver.

Ladies and gentlemen: Are you ready to rumble?!
Well, too bad — we’re rumbling anyway. Nearly one year to the day after being announced — and following one false start in July due to stomach ulcers — Jake Paul and Mike Tyson faced off in the ring Friday night for one of the most mega-hyped events in sports history.
This unlikely showdown between Paul, a 27-year-old former YouTube star, and Tyson, a 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight with his own, Gen X-beloved video game, is virtually impossible to ignore — and marks a giant leap forward in terms of Netflix’s live-streaming ambitions.
If promoters Most Valuable Promotions are to be believed, the fight will be the most-watched in history. Netflix has not announced any viewership expectations. Paul himself predicted that 25 million would tune in.
Before a single punch had been thrown, it had already been one of the most debated, reviled and mocked fights ever mounted.

Schlossberg and his two best friends and collaborators Jon Hurwitz and Josh Heald co-created Cobra Kai as a love letter to their favorite movie franchise, The Karate Kid. Spoiler Alert: This article discusses plot details from the Season 6 Part 2 finale of “Cobra Kai,” now streaming on Netflix.
Cobra Kai never dies. Until its students do.
The final season of Netflix’s hit dramedy “Cobra Kai,” itself a spinoff of the “Karate Kid” franchise from the 1980s, is split into three installments. Part 1 was released on July 18, with Part 2 now streaming. Part 3 will arrive in early 2025.
This second chapter of the final season brings the Miyagi-Do dojo to Barcelona for an elite international karate tournament known as the Sekai Taikai. The finale to Season 6 Part 2, an episode aptly titled “Eunjangdo” — and you’ll see why — features a title match between Miyagi-Do’s Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) and the Iron Dragons dojo’s Axel Kovacevic (Patrick Luwis).

The “Cobra Kai” showrunners wanted Part 2 of the show’s final season to end feeling like the “Empire Strikes Back” of the story, and the all-out brawl that broke out at the Sekai Taikai tournament certainly achieved that.
The show has featured a number of off-mat fights in previous seasons but Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Scholossberg told TheWrap they didn’t just want to play the hits this time around. They said it was the skill level – and that it’s students and senseis alike in the mix – that makes this brawl so much more dangerous.
“What makes it more dangerous, what makes it more interesting to look at is the fact that we’re in an environment where every single person in that room is a black belt, and they’re all the best karate fighters in the world,” Heald said. “What if we built up the...

As Cobra Kai fans know all too well, the countdown to the beloved show's series finale is on! Since the series became a Netflix original series, it's been one of the most popular shows on the streamer, but all good things must come to an end. After six great seasons, the fan-favorite series will officially come to an end in early 2025.
The show's sixth and final season kicked off in July 2024 with first batch of five episodes, followed by the release of season 6 part 2 on Nov. 15. Cobra Kai's writing team chose the three-part release for the 15 -episode final celebration for fans and to make sure the series ends on its best and most satisfying note. It's safe to say they're fulfilling that promise!

At the end of Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 1, it looked like there was just one major antagonist left for our heroes to deal with — assuming they could put their own differences aside to survive the Sekai Taikai, that is — with things finally coming to a head with John Kreese (Martin Kove). In Part 2, though, we quickly learn just how wrong that is. In Episode 8, “Snakes on a Plane,” Daniel learns that the “thug” who was sent to kidnap him wasn’t just a minion of Sensei Wolf (Lewis Tan) — he’s also a henchman of Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), who returns in a familiar scene: a steaming hottub, just like fans will remember him lounging in Karate Kid III. And that henchman has a familiar story as well. He’s Dennis de Guzman (portrayed by William Christopher Ford), one of Silver’s bullies who attacked Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) at Mr.

This article contains spoilers for "Cobra Kai" season 6.
We're nearing the end of "Cobra Kai," the little legacy sequel series that survived an entire streamer shutting down to become one of the best shows Netflix is producing. The first part of the sixth and final season delivered a good calm before the storm (read our review here), mostly focusing on settling the different character rivalries — particularly Samantha and Tory, and Miguel and Robby. At the same time, preparations were underway for the Seikai Taikai, including a fun mini-tournament to see who would go to Barcelona to represent team Miyagi-Do.
Perhaps the biggest idea introduced in the first part of the season involved Mr. Miyagi. The character played by Pat Morita in the original films, Miyagi's legacy has long loomed large over Daniel Larusso and "Cobra Kai." We're nearing the end of "Cobra Kai," the little legacy sequel series that survived an entire streamer shutting down to become one of the best shows Netflix is producing.

[Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers for Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2.] From the moment the Miyagi-Do kids step foot into Barcelona in Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2, it’s complete chaos for the crew, and they seem poised for an embarrassing defeat against their new foes. Cobra Kai’s own Kwon (Brandon H. Lee) emerges as one of the biggest threats to their chances of victory thanks to his torment of team captain Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan). However, in the final moments of Season 6, as the entire tournament devolves into a massive melee, with students and senseis alike in battle, everything changes. Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) uses the chaos to make a move against John Kreese (Martin Kove), who’s bringing a knife to the fight but loses it in the ruckus. After Kwon kicks Sam (Mary Mouser) in the chest while she defends Robby, her German admirer decides to step up and avenge her himself. After...

When Netflix launched as a streaming platform, one of the most thrilling innovations was making whole TV seasons available at once. At first, these were older shows that had already aired in the traditional fashion, and had been licensed from the studios that produced them. But when Netflix started making its own original series, those would also premiere every episode of a new season simultaneously — waiting a week for your story to continue was a relic of the 20th century!
Soon, however, the downside of having super-users marathon six or 10 or 13 episodes in a weekend became clear: Publicity and social media buzz around a new title quickly burned itself out, and both high- and low-quality shows turned into an undifferentiated mass of content, constantly achurn. In more recent years, Netflix tried to put the content toothpaste back in the tube, slowing down the episode drops for select titles — a few...

The following post contains heavy spoilers for season 6 of "Cobra Kai."
"Cobra Kai" has come a long way. The legacy sequel to "The Karate Kid" (one of the best family movies of all time) started out as a relatively inconspicuous show created by the duo behind the "Harold & Kumar" movies and the writer of "Hut Tub Time Machine" -- one that dared to ask what would happen if the joke from "How I Met Your Mother" about Johnny Lawrence being the true protagonist of "The Karate Kid" was actually true. The fact that "Cobra Kai" premiered on the now-defunct YouTube Red streaming platform only further illustrated just how little anyone expected from the show (much less that they thought it would become as popular and long-running as it has).
The series started out rather grounded, reversing roles and plots of the original "Karate Kid" movie while introducing clever twists and...

Plot: At the Sekai Taikai, Miyagi-Do faces new challenges and old enemies as they fight to become world champions — can they stay united as internal rivalries bubble back to the surface?
Review: When the first five episodes of Cobra Kai‘s final season debuted in July, I was underwhelmed by the repeated retread of familiar storylines. Cobra Kai VI, the lowest-rated season of The Karate Kid spin-off series, has only premiered a third of its final season so far, leaving ten of the fifteen chapters to debut. The second batch of episodes continues where the first left off, setting up a showdown at the Sekai Taikai tournament between Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai, along with some other competition. Once again, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are a charismatic pairing, whether on opposite sides or the same one. However, the middle section of Cobra Kai’s final season still feels like it...

Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 is now streaming on Netflix. There are five new episodes of the hit Netflix original series for fans to watch. I binge-watched all five episodes of part 2, and I have to talk about the season 6 part 2 ending.
It is absolutely the most insane ending of a Cobra Kai episode since... probably ever. It's even wilder than the Cobra Kai season 2 finale when Robby (Tanner Buchanan) almost killed Miguel (Xolo Maridueña).
Spoilers ahead for the ending of Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 episode 10, "Eunjangdo."
Tory and Kwon make the Sekai Taikai semifinals Cobra Kai. (L to R) Alicia Hannah-Kim as Kim Da-Eun, Daniel Kim as Yoon, Peyton List as Tory Nichols, Brandon H. Lee as Kwon, Martin Kove as John Kreese in Cobra Kai. Cr. Curtis Bonds Baker/Netflix © 2024 | Netflix
