Don't get carried away by all the rave reviews you have read here. They are clearly from stake holders as you can see the repetition and the commonality of the theme. I got carried away too and watched this movie.
To be honest, it was pretty good till mid point. Good acting by all, especially Deepak Dobariyal, Gulshan Devaiah and Anurag Arora. Good direction, cinematography and editing. But it all changed when the court scene started.
The writers clearly have no idea about the court proceedings. There were so many obvious errors. Like what is taken as good evidence would be ripped off by an average lawyer. What can be allowed and what can't. Raima Sen was very average as a lawyer. Her charachter relied more on her English more than her knowledge of law. The judge Natasha Rastogi was simply bad casting. She was not looking the part at all. And why did they have to give her such a heavy hammer that she could not lift with one hand to bang on the table?
Anyway, a well researched and written court scene could have made the movie a classic. But it ended up being a crib against various sociopolitical evils and one got really frustrated.
The writers must have realised their failure at the end. So they decided to give the plot a sinister twist at the fag end. But it's handling was so crude and the plot so incredible that it added more to the frustration.
All in all, really wished this was made by a good writer-director duo.

Very good movie as far as Direction, Acting, and Timing is concerned.
Everything is just brilliant but I have a few questions on the story -
Can a wife be the public prosecutor on the husband's murder?
What about the conflict of interest? Was she taken special permission?
The public prosecutor is not allowed to comment on the defense counsel's
abilities unless asked. How come Raima Sen allowed repeatedly?

'Kuldip Patwal: I Didn't Do It!' actually had ability to be an awesome film, but then the susceptible screenplay and horrific narration makes this movie one of the worst films that we have currently seen. Remy Kohli's directorial is genuinely terrible. whilst watching the film i was actually thinking the fact that what was the intention to make this movie because at a point you may sense it's trying to show how changes inside the system impacts the common man, however then the perplexing narration takes the movie to a totally different tangent.
The only top factor about the film are the performances. Gulshan Devaiah is definitely notable in the film. Deepak Dobriyal is likewise quite appropriate, and Parvin Dabas leaves a mark. talking about actresses Priyanka Setia and Raima Sen, each are in reality awful. The latter looked like she is forcefully doing the film and became totally disinterested.

It's good movie, highlighted how govt intended & unintended wrong decisions impact common public in India, story able to justify everything till the end.
Lead actors done their job good but main problem with this movie is poor production values(web series are better), weak screenplay and absurd background music (it's almost zero).
Usually movie like this have many highlighted and goose bump scenes, fortunately this movie too had similar scenes but taking was very pale and failed to leave impression of those scenes.

Only for Deepak Dobriyal. Acting is what carries the movie not just so called big stars..Loved it.

#KuldipPatwalIDidntDoIt is the story of an aam aadmi who is accused of assassinating the chief minister. Many questions r raised. What was he doing at the crime scene? Is he really guilty? Why did he do it? Was it a case of personal enmity? Or did someone fire a gun using his shoulder? Is the chief ministers wife as innocent as she looks? Dobriyal as the aam aadmi, Dabas as the chief minister, Sen as his wife n Devaiah as the sincere lawyer, have put in good performances. Worth watching but there r very few shows in Mumbai. Rating 3/5.

I'm surprised there is one lone review and not more. So, I'll put in my two pennies.
You know how critics say a movie is a one-time watch. Kuldip Patwal is a minimum two-time watch!! No kidding. I'd tell you why. First I watched it in an Indian private cinema. The sound wasn't up to par. I couldn't connect the dots. So. I watched it again in Odeon.
Without going into details, every actor leaves his mark, from the two scene hawaldar who wants Kuldip to take his stall off the roads to the lady judge feels like she owned the court! Deepak, the lawyer defending, the politicians all acted brilliantly.
All details are in the movie if you watch carefully. I wish more people watch and discuss it because it is not a paper thin, cartoonish movie. One of the very very good movies coming out of Bollywood. Must watch!!!

The intent of the makers about bringing light on certain issues is appreciable.
But certain scenes were very unnecessary. Especially the last scene after the judgment. This one made the frustration of a sufferer for 12-14 years to be useless.
My comments are mainly on the storyline.
The actors are of great potential, which could have been utilised better. Anyhow kudos to makers for working on sensitive issues. I believe this movie is constructive criticism of the elements of the system.

It was a nice time pass movie with good acting , by all. However they spoiled the fun in ending. Its bit open to assumptions, would have been better if ending was clear and precise.

Not a Good Movie. Everybody acted very well in the movie. The movie was interesting and good at 1st half. In 2nd half the movie lagged a lot due to many flashbacks and the movie was so slow. The climax of the movie was not explained properly. The movie had many unwanted backstories for every characters which made the movie much lagging. Not a Good Movie.

I saw the film at pvr cinemax pacific mall. The film is very realistically made without over dramatizing the political issues like usual bollywood stuff. It's different from the usual. It doesn't have big stars but good performances by actors is something to look forward to.
The director has done a great job in connecting the dots without cheating the audience in climax unlike other films I have seen.
Hats off to the team. It's a must watch!

I saw this "Kuldip Patwal: Ididn't it!" movie at Wembley about ten days ago. I expected a male dominated thriller like routine Hindi film.
What blew me away was the fantastic level of female performances in the movie: whether it was the wife, the mother or the judge or Raima!! We have seen Neerja, Goddesses movie, Queen, etc being touted as women empowerment films, but this movie quietly does the thing for female characters. There are about a 150 speaking characters and all do great job here especially the roles for women!!
The story is well-told about a lay man being held for murder. The dialogue is good and the interjections are unique.
Two huge thumbs up!!

I saw the film in South Ruislip in London. The movie starts well and ends even better. There is no Indian film goings-on and dancing around trees. There IS one song which is cutely done with characters singing in their own voice without any music.
Kuldip is a graduate who goes to an interview and doesn't get the job. The state government has passed a bill. With that bill a quota system has excluded Kuldip. He takes up various jobs until he opens his own shop. It's not without reason that he is failing. That reason is the minister Varun Chadda.
One day the minster is murdered and Kuldip is charged with his murder. So, a trial begins. We go back and forth in time line to unfold the movie.
Kuldip Patwal: I didn't do it! is a well-acted movie throughout especially the lead and the supporting acts. The film is spread with really good scenes which bring a smile. The proceedings are quite decent. But sometimes the pace is slow in the second half.
All in all a really good movie has come out of Indian cinema. Must see movie. I'll give it 8.5-9.

Good one time watch. Much better than ur typical awful Ranvir singh n Srk film
This is 100 times better than the awful Padmavati. The story is a about a commoner who is thrown into a jail cell on suspicion of murder of a local politician.
