The film was completed during the 48 Hour Film Project: Savannah. Due to competition time constraints and a location that was two hours away from the turn in location, writer and director David Harland Rousseau drafted the screenplay in the car on the highway, while Marjorie Ward, editor, drove. Roles were reversed on the way back to Savannah, Georgia. David drove while Marjorie finished cutting the film.
The elements for the 48 Hour Film Project: Savannah (2017) were:
Luke or Lana Beardsley, door-to-door salesman, as the lead character;
a measuring cup as a prop;
"Who died and made you king?!" as the line of dialog.
The randomly selected genre was mystery or comedy.
