I'm a guy who never tends to write reviews, but after watching this movie I had to write because I was amazed at how good this movie was. Had to make a review so u don't miss this movie.

This movie has many important messages that everyone should watch, especially for youngsters like me.

All actors in this movie play its role very well especially Athi's lead role. A person who surprised me very was Vivek. I had never seen him in a role as this in a movie. He's funny as always, but here he had to be more serious and he was very impressive. I hope I see more of him like that.

I would recommend both the young and the old ones to watch this movie.

I am a Malayalee and more than that I'm an Engineering student XD hence the film is perfectly comparable and the film is full of fun.One of my Tamizh Friends suggested me this movie and then I watched it again and again and again because I loved it. Just a few days back I saw the IMDb rating of this film was 8.5 then it became 8.0 and now on 3rd September it has dropped to 7.9 :'(. This movie debuts the gorgeous Miss Aathmika <3 and the characters in the film are very very interesting to watch. The movie goes from Full Funny Beginning to a very sad ending. This movie also sends a strong message against New Gen Ragging and explains whats ragging in its actual good form. Some real life incidents of Adithya(Hip Hop Tamizha) are also portrayed in the movie. With Deep love to HipHop Tamizha and casts. Over all it is a full family friendly and humorous film which if you watch you wont regret.

Choosing to narrate a semi-biographical account of his own life for his debut was indeed a gutsy move from director/writer/lyricist/composer Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi. Featuring a bunch of YouTubers and local RJs who all were handpicked by Adhi to give life to the characters that nurtured him in his youth, and a solid 'Tamizhannn Da!' act from Vivekh who play's Adhi's father, and Athmika who plays Nila (Adhi's love interest), 'Meesaya Murukku' is for most part, a cheerful film.

While the movie is a cent per cent success in trying to reach out to its target audience (the youngsters) infusing humor and nostalgia, it doesn't reach the same heights in its portrayal of the romance between Adhi and Nila. As actors, Adhi and Athmika are average at best and their expressions (mostly Adhi's) come across as pale on several (emotional) occasions, as if they're acting in a college skit or a reality show. These portions could have gained from better writing and enactment. What works though is the relatable bits of humor sprinkled throughout the film. RJ Vignesh and Shah Ra make sure they leave the audience in splits whenever they're on screen. Also, big bow to the crew for blatantly ignoring an item number and a bar song, even though it is a musical and songs keep popping up every ten minutes.

Adhi seems to have a clear idea on what the audience is looking for, in a film such as this, and he has tried to deliver exactly that. The journey of a young man in pursuit of his dreams, and the roles played by his family members, his lover and most importantly, his friends, are depicted in engaging fashion. Never resorting to humor below the belt, Adhi has made a '100% clean entertainer'. Where he could have put in a little extra effort was shedding more light on his struggle as an independent musician, his influences in music, how he kept up with his romance during the phase of 'self- discovery', and his toil in coming to terms with his fate. The movie could have benefited from a few cameos by mainstream artists as well.

Nonetheless, the film packs in enough neat touches for the undiscerning viewer to sit through a (mostly) feel-good 2 hours and 15 minutes. Adhi places his numbers well and 'Vaadi Pulla' coming right at the end was a nice hat-tip.

Verdict: Fun, energetic if you choose to ignore the flawed romance!

Very proud to see how Tamil cinemas are changing over the time. This is just one of the classics of Tamil portrayed. The story line is very realistic and nice. The music is awesome. And every character has portrayed their role more than perfect. This movie does not have any big actors or names and still will be remembered for a long time.

The movie was somewhat good. Everybody acted well in the movie. Songs were somewhat good but BGM in the movie was superb. As this is the acting and directorial debut Hip Hop Tamizha done a good try. 1st half in the movie was boring but 2nd half in the movie was superb. Vivek was the main highlight in the movie with good acting. Madras Central Gopi and Sudhakar can be used more than Smile Settai Guys. Even RJ Vignesh and his team done a good job in the movie.

This not a movie . It's water and water keeps us alive .

Simply,hiphop tamizha killed the acting and screenplay,direction,songs everything top notch.
