Although the initial synopsis sounded intresting on a psychological level, the movie very quickly showed lack of character depth and back-up stories as well as stereotypes : the two main sister characters are just very caricatural in their exhuberant&successful VS introvert&envious dynamic. There are huge narrative ellipses that make it quite hard to give credit to the development of the storyline. And last but not least, this movie borrows a great deal from "Always Shine", a 2016 movie directed by Sophia Takal and starring Caitlin Fitzgerald. So it definitely feels like a "deja vu".

Not the Robert Aldrich's nor even the Henri Farell's touch, because Henry Farell was the novelist whose stuff, material, was used by Aldrich for WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE and HUSH HUSH SWEET CHARLOTTE. Both sisters - cousins - feud with dramatic, tragic results. This small French Belgian movie is however not uninteresting, thanks to a very good cast and directing skills. Only the script would lack a bit of ambition. It is never really boring and the ending is not that predictable. Such a shame that it will remain forgettable for the future. This jealousy among sisters is not enough evoked in the European film industries and it is riveting to analyze it. On this point, this movie is worth watching. Good job.
