Goofs

Kellie is holding the cat at night in the kitchen playing with the necklace, and in the following scene, she is at school the next day. Then the next scene is directly a continuation of the scene of her holding the cat at night in the kitchen.

Todd the boyfriend is killed by bludgeoning and falls face up at the foot of Kellie's bed. Later, the Father discovers Todd's body, now partially UNDER the SIDE of the bed next to the door, FACE DOWN, with blood on the bed where it was impossible in the initial death. Then in a later scene, Todd is back in his correct position, still dead.

Schools will not allow children to be picked up in emergencies by non-family members, especially dating partners. This is especially true in California where the film is set.

Kellie is shown in her bed with visible bloody bruises on her knees, but is without injuries for the next few scenes, because it's a later scene where she falls on her knees during a running race.

The trophies in Kellie's room keep appearing back on their shelves, during scenes where nobody is even touching them.

In one scene when you see their house front there's a white square painted with the number 3822 On the sidewalk. Later there's a similar scene but the square with the number is missing.

When Todd sneaks into Kellie's room, he specifies that the day is Tuesday. However, the next day Kellie is not going to school but working out at home, and then they are holding a garage sale.

The father has been dating the girlfriend for a year and a half and yet she and the children act as if they barely know one another. Worse, the girlfriend acts like she's never been in the family home, although the father clearly states that she has spent the night there more than once.
