I hadn't heard anything about this so I thought it would be a movie that didn't get much attention because it wasn't any good and I'd end up disappointed. I was wrong. I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.
The movie was definitely low budget, but it wasn't glaringly apparent like it is with some indie movies. I thought the sci-fi aspect of it would suffer as a result of the budget, but they didn't end up dwelling on the mechanics of the time travel aspect much because they didn't need to. It's more about the human relationships and interactions, but the time travel aspect is still front and centre in the story. You don't think about that much because the film had a good amount of heart and a few good laughs thrown in for good measure.
As for the acting I thought it was well done. I'm not a big fan of Sophie Turner in Game of Thrones, but I enjoyed her performance in this. Skyler also brought a good amount of light hearted laughs to the story and balanced out Asa's character well.
I wasn't sure where they were ultimately going to go with it, but I also enjoyed the ending. It wasn't one I expected but it didn't leave me unsatisfied.
All in all it felt like a bit of a mix of About Time and (500) Days of Summer, and while I didn't love it quite as much as either of those two, I still thought it was a solid package and I walked away from it happy.
