If you have yet to experience this episode without being spoiled, I envy you. Everything about this episode is perfect. The OST, animation, and one of the biggest plot twists of the entire series... perfectly executed. My favorite episode of the series, and perhaps my favorite episode of any anime, ever.
Incredible direction and storytelling. Unforgettable climax to the episode.
Everything changes in this episode. Everything I had praised about the last episode "Historia" is dialed up to 11 in this episode. This feels like one of those episodes from Game of Thrones that is rated 9.9 because of its excellence. I can honestly say that i'm surprised this episode doesn't have a 10.0. This episode changed the show forever and literally was like a conclusion until the moment because it even wrapped up a lot of things that were being set up from season 1. This is one of the best masterpieces that I at least have ever seen.
This episode was the first of this season to blow my mind, like S01E25 or S01E21.
I have no words to describe the music, perfect in every aspect.
A lot of things, leading one to the other to this ending, incredible.
If you come here to see why this episode is rated so high, look forward to watching it yourself.

The 10/10 rating for this episode is not a mistake. It's not caused by fan-boys. It's not because of anime bias. It's because of masterful storytelling. This isn't your typical anime story that the author conjures up week-by-week to meet comic book deadlines -- AOT is pre-meditated start to finish with meticulous detail and foreshadowing.
This episode, particularly the emotional impact of it, far exceeds any and all expectations. The storytelling and manner in which the plot unfolds sets a completely new bar that I'm afraid won't be reached by other media any time soon.
If you're reading this with doubts that an anime could have such a high rating, watch the show. Pick it up right now. It doesn't matter if you like anime or not. Just grab a snack, and force yourself to watch the 20-minute-long pilot episode. AOT is nothing short of a masterpiece.
